What makes me a great caregiver is my heart. I have always cared about the well being of others, it makes me happy knowing that I am able to help people. What I like about caregiving is meeting new people, and being able to do all I can to comfort and help. A personal achievement I am really proud of is working with someone with CP. This person was in a wheel chair for a long number of years, this person gave up long ago. I came in and got to help this person and care for them helped with motaviating this person to start exercising and then we started taking small steps, thru out my years of caregiving with this person. I was able to help get this person out of the chair and to start walking again. It made me feel so good to see smiles from my client and the family because of how I dedicated myself to her, I was able to give hope and was able to see my client do somethings on their own. It is definitely a highlight to caregiving.

Caregiving is what I like to do. I like to help others, I like to see them smile and feel that they are really cared about. Love working with the elderly, love sitting and talking with them and hearing all their memories. And doing things with them that they like to do. Hello, My Name is Bianca Shropshire. Currently I am a student at Lorain County Community College for Minoring in Business and majoring in Computer Networking. My expected date of graduation is May of 2020. I began working in healthcare in 2005. I worked for The Methodist village in Elyria Ohio in Dietary But decided to make a career change to obtain my State Tested Nursing Assisting Licenses once I turned 18. After obtaining my Licenses I obtain a position on the Neurology floor as a clinical technician in which I performed slightly a little more care than what your STNA Licensed which consist of placing and removal of Foley Catheters, removing IV catheters, and Testing blood sugars as ordered by the physician. What our floor specialized in was post recovery for surgeries within the neurological spec, stroke, seizures, dementia, Alzheimer, neurological disorders, meningitis, and some Gastrointestinal care IE ileostomy, or colostomy bags. Being a caregiver is what I have always been best at. I love to be able to help others with just the basic needs in life that sometime we take for granite in being able to do on our own. One of my biggest achievements in life was becoming a mother and raising my children to be kind unto others and help where needed and that comes with rewards in life that money cannot buy.

Hi. I am what they consider a vet in the medical field. I started out taking care of my grandmother at the age of 14. Doing so gave me this since of honor and love. It also sparked my interest in helping others throughout my years. I have worked with dementia, hospice, disabilities, given showers, cleaned clothes and etc. I was a certified CNA and STNA in two different states with high honor. I am now med certified and also a Behavior Technician.
