I love being a Caregiver because I have a passion for putting others first. In essence, it's about making small changes to your everyday life to make major beneficial changes to someone with an intellectual disability. Seeing them respond to their new environment - and the care and love that shapes it - provokes a feeling that must be experienced to be believed. And there's simply no reward quite like watching the smile emerge and hearing their laughter. I've being a caregiver for more then 10 years now. I used to volunteer for nursing home and other activity when I was in the age of 19 so that's how i was encouraged to become a caregiver. I love to socialize,read, swim,meet new people and play sports.

I'm a caregiver who is honest dependable never late for work, I love what I do I take passion in caring for my clients. I have been a care giver for 37 years. I became interested in being a caregiver when a lady ask me for help she told me that she was not able to bathe herself. which I did help her and did not take any money from her she thanked me. So after that I assisted her with her care when I could and helped her to find more help. that is when I decided that this is what I wanted to do. I like seeing their faces when they get the help that they need just seeing that smile on their face is priceless. My personal achievement that I'm so proud of. I worked with this lady who wanted to work part time I found her a job which she had to volunteer for a week to see if she was able to do the work. I assisted her showing her what she needed to do. after 3 days she was offered the job I was so proud of her. she worked part time at the job and later was offered a supervisory position.
