I am a great caregiver because am highly dependable, am compassionate, patient, a good listener and highly skilled to taking care of older people and children. I took care of my grandmother in Africa Uganda who had diabetes, it was fulling to make a person comfortable in their pain, that made me want to take my career to the next level when i came to USA... What i enjoy most about caregiving is making the elderly comfortable and enabling them live normal lives regardless. My personal achievement is becoming a CNA recently! Never been proud because in addition to my experience, am now a certified Nursing Assistant!

Hello my name is Kimberly Romero, I have recently migrated from Connecticut. I have over 8 years in experience in care giving/human services field. I've also been a manager for most of my years making sure that everyone is treat fairly. I am a kind, giving and understanding person as I believe everyone should treat people the way they would like to be treated.

What makes me a great caregiver is who I am. I love working with elderly people. I love and enjoy helping others when needed. I am very patient and caring. Caring for a family member of mines made me want to start helping other people. I enjoy seeing elderly people happy. Doing the little things they need done really do excite them and to see them happy really makes my day. I am proud of who I became and what I do.

I'm a great caregiver because I enjoy being patient with people that are not ambulatory or have difficulties in later age with their mobility. My mother was a nurse and I believe I was born for this career. I love taking care of clients and being able to help and be a listening ear to them. I treat people the way that I would someday want to be treated. I graduated PHI THETA KAPPA, and I received a Gold Letter Award in 1992 for my knowledge of 10,000 Medical Terms. I remained on the CNA certification list from 1989-2009 with no complaints on file. I attended AUGUSTA UNIVERSITY for my first 2 years and continued toward obtaining my Associate of Arts Degree from EAST GEORGIA STATE COLLEGE. I graduated May 2017 with a major in Psychology. Having this degree also qualifies me to work sufficiently in the Healthcare field.

I have been a caregiver for 16 years from California to Georgia, the passion I give with my care can not be beat. I have skills and techniques that set me a part from other caregivers and I do things with my clients not for them and not forcefully. Hello, I am a Board Certified Registered Nurse (not just a CNA) who has an innate sense of compassion for her patients as well as almost 10 years of experience in various fields of nursing. Seniors have always held a place in my heart but the tedious duties during my 12 hour shift never allowed me to fully take the time I wanted to with them. I used to sneak into their rooms and read to them or just hold their hands. I made the decision to help others after helping my grandparents and great grandmother all through out my life. Seeing all of them being surrounded with a supportive family during their final years was truly a blessing, but sadly, not everyone is as lucky to have the constant care they did. I understand that a busy life can get in the way of helping out our loved ones, and I'd love to help them and provide company whenever I can. I love being able to help others and have often been complimented on my patience and understanding with those who need it. In her finally years, I helped my great grandmother with many activities, mostly with household chores and personal company (she was in her 90s whenever I was helping her.) I have been exposed to and helped people with memory issues, cancer, diabetes, etc. I am use to preparing food and reminding others to eat and to take their medication . I have much personal experience in this area and have no problem treating others with respect as I would want to be treated the same way. :)
