I have been doing this kind of job for over 8 years I love taking care of people and talk with them and also I get attached with my clients I make them laugh and I want them to feel comfortable . And what I enjoyed about a caregiver it feels like I'm carrying like there my own grandparents .

My name is Kathleen and I have been caring for infants and adults for over 10 years. After graduating High School, my grandmother became ill and needed a full time caregiver. I wasn't sure how I would do but it didn't take long to realize I enjoyed taking care of others. Soon after my children were born I began working at a daycare, so that I would be able to take my children with me to work. I enjoyed taking care of infants and toddlers, but as my children got older and started school full time I decided to apply at an assisted living facility. After working there about 6 months I decided this would be my career path. I took an accredited course to become a certified nurses aide and began working at a skilled nursing facility. I have heard so many memories and stories from my sweet residents, and the joy on their faces make me feel like I am making a difference.

I can help relive the old days I live working with the elderly because I love to hear the stories back when they were little and young. Nursing as an RN for 17 years. Had several back surgeries and retired in 2012 and now wish to return to work as a senior care provider. My nursing specialty was in geriatrics the elderly. Enjoy being around seniors listening to their stories and helping them with their personal care and their home cleaning needs. Willing to work weekdays weekends and holidays.
