I've worked as a nurse assistant over 16 yrs caring for disabled, elderly, ill, and mentally challenged clients. I have worked in nursing home, hospital, home care, senior facility, respite care, private duty, direct care service, and hospice care, and trained in massage. I like to challenge myself as a caregiver with promoting new work skills. My time is giving care to others, that cannot do for themselves. My achievement is to see my three children succeed in the life that values them. I have been working in the healthcare field for 20yrs, and have work and all kinds of settings with many different clients and different stages of health. I became a caregiver because I like providing companionship and getting to know people. I like seeing positive results from my clients and their family. I am proud receiving my certification in Phlebotomy, EKG, and Patient Care Technician from the University of Texas at Arlington. I am certified in CPR and First Aid. I am also National Registered Certified Medical Assistant.

I'm patience, trustworthy, passionate and genuinely care about the person I'm taking care of. I enjoy taking care of ederly family members. I took care of my mother, she had dementia and alzheimers. I enjoy working one on one with family members that need my help. I recieved my certificate of completion as a certified caregiver. Also recieved a certificate Addressing agitation and Aggression in Dementia. It would be one of my most accomplishments due to my mother had dementia and alzheimers. I cared for my mother, that is one of the worst conditions to have. So to understand and be able too work with others. I pride myself on too being patient and understanding.

I'm very easy going, love to work and hard working! I can easily adapt to my surroundings which has helped me be an amazing caregiver thus far. I love being a caregiver and helping others. My compassion and my personality, I have a very big heart , im a great listener and I treat clients as if they are family . What I have learned throughout the years being in this field is that clients/residents want to be recognized as a friend or family . Most of them are alone and have no one who cares that they are sick , depressed, and feel like they have nothing to live for anymore. As caregivers we have the ability to show them someone cares , even a hug can go along way , Bringing a client there favor food, combing there hair, its small simple things that brightens there day. I started off young babysitting and helping my mom raise my brothers while she worked 2 to 3 jobs. When I was 13 one of my uncles who was sick told me that being a caregiver would be for me he was diagnosed with HIV, I helped to take care of him. Til he passed away . I watched how sad he was, and how people treated him because he had HIV it disturbed me. Thats what me want to be in Healthcare almost my entire family is in Healthcare to help those in need to help uplift those that are down. I enjoy making clients laugh and smile, seeing how happy they are makes me happy. My personal achievement honestly is being in Healthcare.

What make me a great caregiver, my empathetic nature. I truly listens on every level and observe so I can give each individual the designated care and attention to their needs and every demand. That allow me to be an efficient support system.
