I have been a cna for 10 years and a medication aide for 4 years. I was also a therapy tech for two years.

To write about me that's what I'm supposed to do. Well here I am to help out with anything that needs to be done. The Crazy Cleaner with attention to details cleaning that spot that nobody else sees. All the while talking, talking and talking. I enjoy providing companionship helping out with the daily hygiene, exercising by keeping them arms and legs strong to help prevent falls also keep them ambulating. I am not the best cook but if one is willing to take a chance, it might be ok. One of my greatest accomplishments is that I made it this far and am standing here to be of service to you. The smile with the twinkle in the eyes is the beauty and reward for the work I've done. I am here to be of service for others that is what I was put here to do. There is no amount of money that can buy this feeling I go home with each day. It's priceless.

I have been doing Home Health since 2009. I have been doing live in Private Duty Home Care off and on for the same individual for the last 11 years. At one Home Health Company I was promoted from caregiver to The Assistant to the Administrator and I was given the position as Intake Coordinator.

I am hardworking individual who is looking for full time employment in an environment that encourages me to do my best in order to improve daily operations. I enjoy working in a position that allows me to serve others by using my talents. I am always eager to learn, and when given the opportunity, I will rise to the challenge before me.

I love helping people. I am a good listener and like to have my clients have input into their daily lives, if it is applicable for them. I love to learn new things that I can incorporate into my skills.

I love to work with people especially the ones who need help. Makes me feel better to help someone in need!

Hourly wage is negotiable I decided to become a caregiver because of my grandmother. As far back as I can remember she was a home health aide, I enjoyed watching her interact with her patients and making them feel comfortable. After watching my grandmother interact with her patients, i decided to try out the caregiver/assisted living/geriatric world in 2005, where i fell in love with the industry. I have been a caregiver for geriatrics and mental health for up to 10 years and have always enjoyed it. I have worked with patients that have all stages of Alzheimer's and dementia, including sun-downers, also patients with MS and ALS. With all patients, i like to get to know the family and help them understand and cope with Alzheimer's disease as well as MS and ALS and other diagnoses, which all can be very hard for some families to cope and understand. Not only do i care and look after the patient and their needs, but i also look after and care for the families. Because although, they are not being cared for by the aides, they too still need help at times. I am always there for the families for a shoulder to cry, a venting board, or just when they need help out or around the house. I do not only do my specific job duties, i do things that are not asked of me, i treat your home like i do mine. When i see that something needs to be done, i take it upon myself to complete that task. For example, dishes in the sink, dusting, trash overflowing, or helping a family member with something. I have assisted with assembling an entertainment center before, just to be a helping hand.

Ive had other jobs but I always come back to what I love the most. That is caring for the elderly. I give 110 percent to all my patients they come first. I love the time I spend with my patients but most overall is the story they tell you of their life growing up. I started being a cna in 1976 but cane to really love the elderly. The most achievements is knowing not only you come to know the family, but to have the family tell you what a wonderful job you did with that patients the love,passion you gave to not only the patient but the family as well. Im very passionate person and I love what I do. Im single 55 years old and grandma of six. Like I said I give 110percent to all my patients and im very hard worker.

My life's journey is serving others. I strive to comfort patients in their most difficult time. I paid attention to the small items that mattered most, example, when I made their bed I made sure their comforter was even on both sides. It may sound weird, yet it was important to everyone. When the elderly and or the patients I came in contact with are in a vulnerable time in their lives, the first thing is their independence to be challenged. To loose that or have the feeling that their independence is lost is scary. I accomplished a way to allow them choices to be a part of their care and eased their fear by allowing them to have a voice, to be heard. Quite remarkable really, all apart of those little things that we don't usually pay attention to , yet it made a big difference in developing a positive outcome.

I try to do my best at helping the patient with anything they need. I have always wanted to be in the medical field. I love caring for others. My mom inspired me to be a CNA. I love getting to spend time with a patient and getting to know them and their history. I always get thank yous for being so polite and generous, I give all my thanks to my grandma for that.
