Hi I'm Melissa, I'm a very outgoing person I'm also very caring considerate and respectful. I've been a caregiver on and off for the past 20 years I've worked with Developmentally disables individuals children, paraplegic quadriplegic guys and girls, and elderly from just very minor help to hospice. I've got experience in medication administrstion, transfering, I know how to follow service plans. I enjoy being a caregiver because I like to help people that can't do for themselves. I'm very good at making people feel good when there down. I'm a great companion for anyone in need of one and a pretty good cook.

When my mother was passing from cancer, I watched her care team take such great care of her. I was deeply touched by that kindness and I realized that is what I wanted to do. I wanted to go to work and help people to feel safe, comfortable, and to help brighten their day. I have loved every minute of my career thus far, even the rough days. It is where my heart truly is.

I'm currently work for Rivershore Motel as a housekeeper. I enjoy cooking and spending time with my loved ones.

I love helping people, my heart is all in when I'm caring for my clients/patients. I can build strong relationships with the harder to care for clients, troubleshoot how to care for dementia/alzheimer patients rather quickly like for an example we had a dementia patient that had not had his teeth brushed in 6 months. I worked with his wife to get him a toothbrush and toothpaste that he used at home, he finally let us help do dental hygiene.

Well I've always had a caring nature about me and am a very hardworking and dedicated person, i have always wanted to help anyone i had came across that was sick and needed care. A little backstory for u is when i got my nursing degree so i could start helping my father with his everyday needs as well as helping him get around the house as he was in great deal of pain and would loose breath trying to just roll over. So i took a course in college nursing 090, and by the end of the class i had learned how to transfer him with out a great deal of pain! It made my days well worth every moment, and although he unfortunately did not make it to see me graduate, he sadly passed five short months before i graduated with a 3.8 gpa from LCC here in longview. So i then went on to caring for others in they're homes and absolutely loved becoming apart of many new familys along the way, making all of my clients feel comfortable, loved, important and always giving them a sense of security knowing that i would be there everyday for them and their daily needs that were not bieng or able to be fully met. One thing u should know about me is no matter what i have always enjoyed helping others, which is why i feel i would be a great candidate for you and for your in-home care needs to be met. I enjoy helping others.I get most of enjoyment out of helping others out. I deffinetly work hard sometimes to the point where it is almost to much Of an over load.
