I have been caregiving for the last almost 13 years. I started my caregiving journey young helping take care of family. Once I started my own family I took care of my mother-in-law for a while. After that I began working in facilities and Adult family homes. I currently have all of my CBRF certifications required by the state of Wisconsin. Which is my standard precautions, first aid/choking, medication administration, and fire safety. I will love and care for your family member as they are my own family member!!

Hey there, My name is Melody DeGrave and I live in Green Bay. I am currently a Certified Medical Assistant/LPN. I previously worked as a CNA for 7 years in Nursing homes, assisted living facilities, Rehab facilities and Disabled homes. I have been a nurse for 5 years at Aurora Healthcare working as a float nurse in OB/GYN, behavioral health, pediatrics, family practice and internal medicine. I recently started a new position with St Elizabeth hospital in the heart and lung unit. I previously took care of a paraplegic man in his home for 3 years with a hoyer lift. I would go to his home every morning before work and give him a shower/ get him ready for the day and give him any meds or apply any topicals he may have needed. I loved doing this, I am capable and I am more than willing to help where help is needed. I currently work Monday-Thursday 830:430. I would be willing to help any times outside of those hours. I find caregiving extremely rewarding and thats why I have done it for over 20 years now. The bond you create with the individual/individuals you are assisting is one that can never be replaced. You spend so much time together you literally become family. I became a CNA at the age of 16 and thats where my heart truly belongs.

I am a caring, dependable, hard working person who has been in some aspect since 1999. I do not currently have my CNA current but I could get recertified if needed. I have always like to work with those who are in need. I had a bit of experience with helping in the care of my mom who was ill with cancer and passed away.

What is a personal achievement I am most proud of? I served in the military as a hospital corpsman for 5 years. I was deployed during Desert Storm and was able to educate and save all the marines under my care. I am thoughtful and loyal. My experiences and knowledge have further confirmed why I love what I do.
