My name's Mariah. Being a caregiver is something I've done seems all my life. I grew up on a hobby farm and had many animals. I was there caregiver. They thought me responsibility, respect, patience, kindness, and much more. I chose this career path because of my father. He was very I'll in my teen years. I learned about heart disease and skin cancer. He's now in heaven cheering me on. I also took care of my aunt who had kidney disease and spina bifida. My family has taught me a lot about living life to the fullest. That's why I enjoy being a caregiver because everyone should live life to the fullest each and every day. My goals are to make everyone smile and forget there problems, even when you don't feel well a laugh is always a step forward. When I leave my shift at the end of the day, I want my clients to know there cared for, respected, and most of all safe. My clients are MY BOSS. I'm willing to go above and beyond. When family's get tired I'm here, I'm there back bone. I'm always willing to help give advice or be a listening ear. Please remember it's harder for the person then you! Always keep a smile!

When my mother was ill, I was the one she would call to make her scrambled eggs. I took her to the swimming pool and hot tub to get exercise and relaxation. I cut her hair, took her to doctor's appointments and then lunch, and generally gave her some companionship. As I dusted her knickknacks, she told me where each was from. Mom died in 2002. When dad was ailing, some of my family tried to move him into assisted living, but he wanted to stay in his own home. I gave up my apartment and moved in with him, while working in publishing during the day. We had a great time together for a year and a half. Just after he died, I lost my job because I had spent too much time with dad. That evening, the daughter of a neighbor I'd assisted over the years called me, asking if I could help her mother. That began years of caregiving in which I have helped people stay in their homes, and enjoy life. I've brought my keyboard and played hymns and popular songs, singing with them and laughing. As a caregiver, I am simply happy to help my people stay in their own familiar setting. I believe the way I interact with them makes them happy. And my cooking makes them extremely happy! I built my cooking experience on my mom's, then learned to cook for fewer than 8 people! I edited three "Taste of the Country" cookbooks, working with a professional dietician who taught me many ways to fit dietary needs while providing tasty food.

I am a compassionate, empathetic, outgoing and trustworthy person. I started caregiving because I love working with people they have so many good stories to share. I recently went to school to get my nursing assistant certification, on my way to be a nurse.

Very patient and understanding, using empathy to help people. My wife was disabled in 2005. She was for the most part bedridden since 2009. Found great satisfaction in the work. Satisfaction of helping someone stay in their home Being able to keep my wife at home until 2 days before she passed away in April of 2023.

Through personal experience with both my grandmothers, we found it difficult to find good quality and reliable care. Starting in High school I took a medical terminology course , and from there my interest in the medical field grew. I took the CNA course through Blackhawk Technical College in Janesville and LOVED IT! I opted to take the additional Advance Nursing Assistant course. I have worked in many different environment such as nursing homes, hospital and Home Health. After 3 years I decided to open my own business become licensed and insured to provide Care for others in their Home and it's been the Best discission of my life!!

I have a been a personal caregiver for over 18years I started out working as a Cna in nursing home and I thoroughly enjoy and love the helping others out. It is very fulfilling to me knowing I can help out in any way I can by just simply being there when they need someone. In addition to providing companionship, I can help monitor medications, prepare delicious meals, keep home and laundry clean, transport to Doctors appointments, etc. Your loved one will be in good hands when they are with me.

I am looking for a full time long term live-in position. I am drug free, only drink socially and do NOT do drugs. I will relocate myself upon hire. Here's my short list: I am a 62 year old semi-retired Respiratory Therapist. I have my own vehicles. I am very organized and have lots of experience caring for people. Excellent cook, housekeeper and home organizer. I currently cook, clean and do laundry for my client in addition to his personal care and companionship. My current position is live-in with room and board and $525 per week salary. I work for myself on a cash basis. I lately worked as a live-in caregiver for an 88 year old who recently went into hospice care and has passed away, I currently work as a live-in Resident Assistant at an Adult Family Group Home for developmentally disabled. Prior to that, I was a personal assistant/housekeeper/cook for Racine's Case High School Principal (Wisconsin), until he moved to CA for health issues. Prior to that I was live-in Housekeeper/cook for a professional gay couple in Trevor, WI. I have tons of experience with children, and have a 35 year medical background. Also interested in positions in Ashland County, OH 44805 area and will re-locate for the right position. Please be aware of State Laws regarding live-in domestic care givers hours for work. There are time off requirements. 24 hours a day 7 days per week is not an expectation you should have. It's demanding work and all caregivers need time to recharge. I came to care for my mother's needs after her triple bypass. And have always been a caregiver in some sort of way. My clients have ranged with various needs brain trauma, Cancer and Dementia. I am a nurturer by design. I like helping people to be as independent as possible.I am a warm and engaging person. When I can make my clients smile and feel good about their day,then I know the world is brighter. I am a mom to a high functioning autistic son and a have beautiful daughter.I am also married over 20 years which is huge!

I would say I am great care giver because I always put the well being of my client first, I am very old fashion, respectful, funny and alway exceptionally professional. I am always open to learn and a very fast learner at that. For me being a care giver helps to give back to the elderly and help to make their lives easier.
