I became a caregiver and a certified nurse assistant 10 years ago because I love helping people and being apart of a team that cares for people, that's making a difference in people's life it's so rewarding . What I like most about being a caregiver is helping and serving other.I am most proud of not being selfish being able to puting the needs of others before my own. I know how it is to need help to be sick to have to depend on others to help you when your not able to care for yourself. So having dependable care is very important. I am very dependable, polite, relieable, always willing to learn more , love people and care about needs of my patients and there families.
I'm a very professional and compassionate Caregiver/CCMA with strong work ethics. I care for my clients the way I would want my loved ones cared for . I am very versatile and have in-depth knowledge and training into many different areas of the healthcare field. I have worked with many different clients in the home setting with many different illnesses and diseases such as Alzheimer's, mild - severe, Dementia, mild - severe, Parkinson's, mild- severe, diabetes's, MS, ALS, many different Cancers , Hospice , Palliative care and much more. I use critical independent thinking when caring for my patients which is very important in the home care setting . I know I am the eyes and ears for the health care team and family members so I pay close attention to my patients looking for any changes. I pay close attention to their medications making sure they are working properly. With my knowledge and medical background I am able to communicate effectively and professionally with all individuals on a clients care team which in turn makes it easier for the physicians or other health care professionals to treat the client. This in turns brings great relief for my patients and their loved ones.
My personality and expertise that helps me to be a great caregiver is go to work with good attitude. Knowing that you're going to work to help someone that can't help themselves. Attracted of being a caregiver is that I love my jobs and I love what I'm doing is helping people. I enjoyed the most as a caregiver is making someone smile and being a companion to him or her. What attracted me to becoming a caregiver was I had a neighbor that I would always go and help with everything I enjoyed it I would help her shop, clean, etc . So that Day forward I decided to become a caregiver I'm a very compassionate person I started working in facilities gained experience also as a Med tech from that point on I new this was the field I want to be in. I want to be a RN eventually I'm working my way to the top. I'm a very patient and trustworthy person in the past I've worked with adults and kids. I'm registered under the state of California as a home care aide I have a Live scan TB test First Aide & CPR. I look forward to meeting with you [?]
I became a caregiver right out of high school in 1998 for a friends grandmother for 2yrs. It was then I realized I loved helping people in 2000 I went back to school for my CNA. I work as a CNA until I started a family of my own. I went back to caregiving in 2005 for a number of home care agencies (maxim, home instead, American companion and caregivers) to name a few in 2014 I went back to school retook and received my CNA working in Riverside CA in 2016 I enrolled in school at Summit Career College in Colton CA but after my 2 term I put that on hold to help out my family in Fresno. I am now living in Chino Hills looking forward to get back into a career that has my heart since I was a kid. I am a firm believer if you treat people with love, compassion, empathy, sympathy, and respect that it stands out in your everyday life. My personal achievement would have to be my children one goes to Azusa Pacific University he wants to be a doctor my daughter is going back to school to become an RN and my 18 yr old just inlisted in the army and wants to also work for our country in the nursing field as well. It's not just a job for myself or my children but it's our lives. I always tell my kids what a patient once told me " if you work doing what you love it will show in the work you do naturally" I hope you this gives you a better look into why I became a Caregiver/ CNA
Very positive and high energy, i love being a caregiver because being able to help with elderly let's me know that there is someone who cares for them besides family that is willing to be there for them. A personal achievement would have to be communication because it is very hard to communicate with clients who have trust issues due to previous workers.
