I take pride in providing quality services to those that would otherwise not be able to care for themselves alone. The smile on their faces makes me feel I have accomplished my job. I have always enjoyed helping others and the elderly have a special place in my heart as I was raised to respect others and shared precious moments with my grandparents that I cherish still today. What I find in serving others is that I get an opportunity to learn as well. I am a good listener, client centered with compassion. Empathy is embedded in my personality. Being an experienced caregiver I am familiar with the job and very much enjoy each day at work.
I have been a caregiver for roughly 10 years now, I really decided to become a caregiver after my mother became terminally ill. I helped take care of her until the end; with the assistance of Hospice! The compassion they showed while giving amazing companionship was life changing! It made me want to give back and pay it forward to a family in need, like mine had received. I enjoy getting to know my clients as well as just being there for them and helping them with daily activities they may struggle with! I assist in any and all need from house work, to toileting, bathing, transportation etc... Hope to meet you soon! If you have any questions for me please feel free to ask.
I am a very compassionate and helpful individual. I like to assist those who are not capable of helping themselves. To provide relief and aid to families in hardship and emotional stress. I get true joy in my heart to make my clients happy , I could not ask for a more rewarding career.

1.I became a caregiver, because at the time I had a close relative who needed care and I took the responsibility to care for them after school and it became second nature to me. I then realized that i enjoyed helping those in need and whose who could not help themselves, it make me feel important and it is a good feeling to know that someone trusts you to make them feel better and make life easy for them. 2. As mentioned before, I enjoy feeling important in someones life that they trust me to make their life easier and I enjoy knowing that I am trusted to take on such a huge responsibility. 3. I am most proud of the fact I came to this country at 17 all the way from South Africa and made a life for myself, I have built strong relationships with people, and I have learnt from others and most importantly learnt to become a responsible and respectable member of society. I taught myself to become a care giver without any form of training and over the years as my experience grew, I decided I wanted to really care others and now I am pursuing a career in Nursing. 4. I speak 6 Southern African Languages and currently learning American Sign Language to make that 7 in total, I am currently a Nursing student at West Coast University and I am looking to be a Caregiver as well because it is something I truly enjoy doing. I want to be someone who makes life easier on my patients and their family, I know firsthand how overwhelming it can be on everyone around. I knew I wanted to help others the same way my grandparents caregivers helped us. The thing I enjoy most about being a caregiver is knowing I made a difference and helped someone. Seeing them smile and comfortable is how I know I'm doing my job.
