I have been doing HHA/Caregiving over 10 years, an have been a Medical Assistant since 2006. I also have experience working with Alzheimer's and dementia care. I have experience using the Hoyer lift ,catheter care, trachea care. I have also worked with paraplegic patients. I have experience in transfers, and Companionship. I also love to help people through their disease process. One of my personal achievements that I am proud of is my children who I love very much. Also, I am also pleased to say that I received my first degree in Healthcare Management in 2018. I have a lot of great features under my belt which Include MA, CNA, Phlebotomist, and Home Health aide, Also I have a degree in Business Administration. I still have great compassion in my heart to provide care for clients.

The reason I became a caregiver was because my grandmother died alone in a nursing home. I have also worked in facilities. I left due to the fact I didn't like the way the clients were treated I couldn't give them enough attention. The reason why I love working in homes with one or two clients at a time is because you get to know them you get to bond with them and they become like family. 80% of my clients I have stayed with till the end and that is because most of my clients are terminal.

I believe that my compassion for helping others is what makes me a great caregiver. It is always a rewarding feeling knowing that me providing care has made a difference in someone's life. I became a caregiver because I've always had a desire to help those in need, I also believe it is my calling. I enjoy hearing all the stories my clients have to share, the relationships I've made over the years and the many memories I have to think back on. I admire the appreciation shown for the smallest of things. The difference I can make in ones life with just a simple conversation or a short outing is priceless . I'm proud to say that a personal achievement of mine is the relationships I have built with my clients beyond my work setting.

I am naturally caring and compassionate person; doing just so will give me the sense of ability, that I am providing a very important & really good support to the person I am caring for. A personal achievement for me was when one of the toughest person I am taking care of stated that I just made him feel important and apologizes for being mean and asked me to take care of him from that day on. And when I simply cover them with blanket while sleeping and says to you " Your such a sweet person and thank you for taking care of me every night ". And that feeling of warmth fulfilment when I simply put a smile and genuine laugh when they see me. Those are huge accomplishments for me because at the end of the day, I go to sleep smiling knowing that - I just made someone's day. It made me feel driven to do more the next day and repeat. I am hardworking, caring, compassionate, patient, understanding, dependable, reliable and flexible and a sucker for life stories. I had worked at Assisted Living and Memory Care Community for more than 7 yrs & as a Personal Care Assistant and Medication Technician. I had been an independent Caregiver for more than 10 years & counting. I am my own boss :) and I have several individuals that I care for. I assisted individuals on their daily living routine i.e. Dressing, grooming, bathing, escorting, preparing their meals, assisting on their medication management. Assistance on incontinence care example changing their depends, emptying urinal and catheter. Light housekeeping and companionship. Post-op Surgery Care. My services could simply be as follows: picking lunch/dinner, assistance on taking medications including insulin or checking sugar levels, making meals, running errands, giving rides to medical appointments, hair appointment And/or shopping & walking/exercise.
