Hi, I am a mother, grandmother, and I love to care for my family. I started caregiving first for my grandparents. I fell in love with taking care of the ones who can't care for themselves or maybe just need a little help and a lot of companionship.

What makes me a great caregiver is that I love all the elderly like my own. I like taking care of my grandparents and I love hearing all there stories from the past and I love spending time with the elderly. An achievement I'm proud of is when I caught one my patients before they fell and got hurt really back

My compassion for others is one of the many things that would make me a great caregiver. My grandmother was sick for a long period of time in my life and me and my family helped assist her in many different ways which is why I'm attracted to become a caregiver. I enjoy helping others who cannot do certain things for themselves but I also would allow them to be independent in someways. I would let them know that I am here if they need me in any shape or form. A personal achievement that I'm personally proud of is earning my CNA licenses.

I became a Cna at 17 years old when my Great Grandmother decided she would not stay home with us, not wanting to burden family. I decided that one of us needed to go to her then and went to Job Corp got my Ged and Cna before my Highschool class graduated. I then took my first job at Parkview Nursing and Rehab in Waterloo, Iowa . I believe in giving my clients and their families the best of me as I see the big picture and know how hard caring at home can be. In 1998 my grandpa was diagnosed with Parkinson's We kept him home as long as we could and then I went to work at Country View where he was first placed due to memory problems. He ended up back home ! We cared for him until he suffered a fall ( very common in Parkinson's ) at that time Caring for the elderly in a loving, respectful and life enriching way no matter the illness/ ability is my goal! I want my clients to have the best day each day they spend with me and I have an amazing portfolio showcasing my light work and great family references! I am capable of all aspects of homecare! I have 20 plus years experience. I am loyal and dependable, I have a glowing, upbeat personality! Great references and letters of recommendations! I am a very trustworthy and organized person ! You will not regret letting me assist you in keeping your loved one at home! I am also a cosmetology grad, graduated at the top and love bringing my hair, skin and nailcare experience into the homes of my clients at no extra charge!! I am amazing with memory care patients! I am patient and kind! My experience includes Coordination of Care , Supervision and Scheduling as well as Payroll! I am a sublime Care-Giver because I'm trust-worthy, friendly, and out-going. I am a born-again Christian, so I believe in Christian values, such as: honesty, integrity, and a strong work ethic. I became a Care-Giver because my parents raised me to always respect my elders, and I know that they have amazing stories and plenty of wisdom to share. My job as a Care-Giver is truly the most rewarding job I've ever had, so I would like to continue working in this field as a career!

At work my patients called me "Sunshine". I always have a smile on my face. I enjoy helping people. It's what I've always done. I am the oldest of five sisters and we grew up in an unstable home. I grew up quickly and started taking care of my sisters when I was 9. I'm still helping them. Anyone who knows me, knows that they can depend on me and that I'm trustworthy. I am always helping someone by taking them shopping, taking them to doctors appointments, taking them to pick up prescriptions, or just sitting and visiting because they are lonely. I love to help people accomplish things that they need to get done but can't because they can't drive (due to seizures etc...) or because they need advice or companionship.

I am a go-getter I love the elderly I love people I do whatever it takes to help that person and make them happy that's who I am and offer a lot to accompany

I have a great eye for detail, caring, understanding, patient, trustworthy, dependable, great at my job because I love what I do! I work in a dementia care unit now for over a year. I'm a good listener and enjoy conversations. I have been a CNA for over 5 years working continuously in geriatric long term care facilities and over a year in an acute care hospital. I'm CPR certified, and state licenced! In over 5 yrs. I have never had anything go before the Nursing board!

I have worked with care work for 38 years I care for a lot of people my mother my grandparents my brother-in-law my grandfather and I've always done a lot of extra stuff for them whatever it takes I do because they're My Heart Senior Care work is my heart I've always done it and I love to be with people to help them and I'm proud of the seniors who they are and predicting the fight and I love to keep it that way

I started as a CNA when I turned 19 as a divorced single mom with a special needs child and no clue how to proceed.. I couldn't attend school work and tend to a high needs child so I worked and learned everything I could about epilepsy . And as a caregiver I became interested in dementia and Alzheimer's.. the Correlation between the diseases became a fascination for me which translates into the type of care that I provide for my clients. Between growing up in a family owned business where customer service was the TOP priority anticipating a clients basic needs came easily , then learning the specific and special que's and needs of the elderly was a easy cross over that I have loved ever since.. I hold a very dear spot in my heart and mind for so many wise ones, as I privately refer to them . I have gained more knowledge from my clients then I ever did behind a desk in school and I am both privileged and blessed to have been given this calling in my life.
