My name Z-dell, I have been a certified nursing assistant for 27 years, and still counting... I'm well rounded I have with nursing homes, assisted living, private duty, hospitals 1:1, mental health, special needs adults and children, autism, cerebral palsy individuals. When you as an individual in the health care field, you have to truly CARE, about the people you are responsible for at the time whom you are giving care to but that's in general in life, you have to LOVE people. And TRUE LOVE come from GOD... We have to place CHRIST first, in all we do, it will make you great at whatever level your expertise is, I will honestly tell you that is why I'm GOOD at what I do as a CAREGIVER.
I became a caregiver because I love helping people. People never think that you can change a person day by just having a warm smile, friendly ear. I like being a caregiver because I like helping. My personal achievement is my grandmother helping her to bounce back from a stroke and able to get back to her daily routine with just a little help. I am out going, friendly, dependable.

I love to help people. I started out taking care of my grandmother and just kind of fell in to the profession. I strated out in just home health. I finally got my CNA. This year will be 4 years. I'm also waiting on my medical assistant scores to come back. I love being a caregiver because you come across some of the most amazing people.
I worked for nearly 20 years in accounting and clerical jobs. I had an opportunity to be a caregiver for a 98 year old man that did not want to go to the nursing home. I took the job and fell in love! I went and got my CNA, NAII and Medication Administration licenses. I have spent many years doing in home care and have also worked in facilities. Being a caregiver is not just a job. You have to love this work to do it and do it well. I enjoy helping people and especially if it means they can stay in their own home and not have to go to assisted living or a nursing home. I always strive to care for my clients just like I would care for my own grand parents. Respect and dignity are everything. Alzheimer's patients are my favorite. They take a lot of patience and creativity. You have to think outside the box when you work with them.
I am a paramedic with over 10 years experience. My time in EMS has taught me how to handle a wide range of medical issues. I work well under stressful situations and pride myself on punctuality. I have 1 daughter and she is a full time student at UGA working on her PHD. I have flexible hours very reliable transportation. I was raised and born here in Georgia so good manners and respect are deeply rooted in me. I have chosen to retire from EMS and focus on more one on one care giving.
I currently am the primary care taker of my handicap brother that has cerebral palsy and is severely disable, i take care of ALL his day to day living needs... I have always been very close to my brother and i believe that it takes a special heart to do what needs to be done for anyone that has health issues, I always try to put myself in that persons shoes and at the end of the day i sleep better knowing that they are as comfortable and happy as possible. I think the world needs more people like me it surely would be a better place!! :)

I have experience with a variety of home care and look forward to sharing time with your family. Last, I was caregiver for my mom through her last few years of our battles with Lewy Body Dementia. This experience, along with lots of research, allows me a special skill set for assisting patients and families facing Alzheimer's and Dementia.
