I have been doing Home Health since 2009. I have been doing live in Private Duty Home Care off and on for the same individual for the last 11 years. At one Home Health Company I was promoted from caregiver to The Assistant to the Administrator and I was given the position as Intake Coordinator.

It takes a special person to care for our elderly. I treat your family, like I would be caring for my own. I have been a CNA for over 12 years, working in a nursing home was not a good fit for me. So I left and have spent the last 10 yrs caring for people in their own homes. I have cared for the early Alzheimer's and watch them transition. I have cared for a set of 26 wk old preemies and watched them grow to become very active girls. My greatest traits kindness, caring, loving and patient.

MET ALOT OF WONDERFUL AND CARING PEOPLE WHAT I LOVED ABOUT MY JOB WAS FEELING FULFILLED THAT I HAD MADE A DIFFERENCE IN SOMEBODYS LIFE IF EVEN FOR A LITTLE BIT I TREAT ALL OF MY CLIENTS THE WAY I WOULD WANT TO BE TREATED WHEN THE TIME COMES FOR TO BE TAKEN CARE. THE ONLY REASON I LEFT MY JOB WAS SO I COULD BE CLOSER TO MY FAMILY WHO I AM VERY CLOSE TO, I LEFT A GOOD STAFF, WE WERE A GOOD TEAM AND ALWAYS PRIDED ON BEING THE BEST OF THE BEST.

I'm been working for myself for 12 years now. I have four kids two are adults and two are in middle school I'm married I enjoy reading and fishing and just taking care of my elderly clients.

I love taking care of the elderly and I love doing my job. They are the most sweetest people. I have been a caregiver for over 5 years now and I love what I do I have my CNA license so it couldn't be any better then that. Also the elderly people love me love my personality and the way I do things I have been told that they love my cooking and my cleaning and they would love to have me come back anytime.

Hourly wage is negotiable I decided to become a caregiver because of my grandmother. As far back as I can remember she was a home health aide, I enjoyed watching her interact with her patients and making them feel comfortable. After watching my grandmother interact with her patients, i decided to try out the caregiver/assisted living/geriatric world in 2005, where i fell in love with the industry. I have been a caregiver for geriatrics and mental health for up to 10 years and have always enjoyed it. I have worked with patients that have all stages of Alzheimer's and dementia, including sun-downers, also patients with MS and ALS. With all patients, i like to get to know the family and help them understand and cope with Alzheimer's disease as well as MS and ALS and other diagnoses, which all can be very hard for some families to cope and understand. Not only do i care and look after the patient and their needs, but i also look after and care for the families. Because although, they are not being cared for by the aides, they too still need help at times. I am always there for the families for a shoulder to cry, a venting board, or just when they need help out or around the house. I do not only do my specific job duties, i do things that are not asked of me, i treat your home like i do mine. When i see that something needs to be done, i take it upon myself to complete that task. For example, dishes in the sink, dusting, trash overflowing, or helping a family member with something. I have assisted with assembling an entertainment center before, just to be a helping hand.

I live to serve! I do my very best to make everyone feel loved and cared for. I enjoy caring for people of all ages and health levels. I love my purpose each and everyday. I gain so much from caring for others. There is no better service to be in!

I became a professional caregiver after seeing both sets of grandparents in hospitals receiving hospice care. I was young at the time, but incredibly unsatisfied with the level of care performed in those types of institutions. I strive personally to provide the best care possible while retaining my clients dignity and independence.
