I am a firm believer in enhancing the lives of seniors and not focusing on their limitations. I have experience in Hospice care, ALS, Alzheimer's, COPD, Deafness, Dementia, Diabetes, Parkinson's disease, Stroke, and many more. My experience includes any and all of the following: personal care, grooming and toileting, bathing, and all activities of daily living. In addition light meal prep, grocery shopping, accompanying and driving clients to physicians appointments, and taking clients to outings such as the movie theater, and the mall for shopping, or out to dinner. I have worked in all types of senior facilities such as independent living, assisted living, and on memory care units as a private caregiver. Furthermore, as a respiratory therapist, I have been able to use my expertise to provide oxygen therapy, and or nebulizer treatments.

I have been in home healthcare for over 20 years. I love being in home health care and being able to help patients enjoy their life. I became a caregiver to help make a difference in patient lives. I am skilled in a variety of care, including transfers, bathing dressing, med, reminders, total care, dementia, insulin injections, and a variety of other skills. My patients have ranged from quadriplegics to dementia patients. Caring for, listening, and helping my patients brings a lot of joy to my life to be able to see them smile and laugh fills my heart.

I think I'm a great caregiver because I genuinely care about others. I treat people the way I want myself or my family members treated. I have enjoyed a 32 year career as a Respiratory Therapist primarily with children in a hospital setting, but being a caregiver doesn't have age restrictions!
