My name is Rosa Salazar. I have experience working as a caregiver for 5 years. I enjoy assisting elderly people and have a campion to be there for them. My passion working as a caregiver is helping who need help and not be lonely.

I have been a caretaker most of my adult life. I took care of my mother for several years while she was ill with Lupus and worked in several nursing homes, assisted living and independent living facilities. I understand the worry of having someone to assist and keep your love one company and ensuring that they are well "looked" after while you are away. I have been a certified nurse's assistant and activty director for both nursing homes and assisted living facilities and I understand the importance of keeping people activite and happy. Taking care of elderly or sick people is my passion. I cook very well, sew, do arts and crafts and can lead low to high elements of exercise. I know professional techniques to get my clients engaged or just make them laugh. I assist with bathing, light housekeeping and of course by this message you can tell I love to talk; and if your loved-one is a religious person, I don't mind reading scriptures or praying either. I enjoy being a caregiven and I genuinely care about my clients and their family. I just recently retired from Job Corps after working there 20+ years taking care of at risk youth in a residential setting. After retirement, I decided to go back to working with Seniors as an Activity Director and care taker.

I am a Hispanic single retired mother, grandma and friend. I love people especially children and the elderly. I get along with everyone and am friendly and energetic. I decided to start applying for part time jobs to stay active and help others. I have raised 5 children and helping a son raise his son who has special needs. I work around my yard and like walking and riding my bike around town. I have helped care for my older sister with parkinsons in the past until hospice came in to help. I also helped care for a gentleman experiencing dementia and having issues with his balance. I also have been a home health aide for about 7 persons with Carelink in the past. I would like to work weekdays if needed, maybe as caregiver, companion or to run errands.

I am motivated and caring and I love to make people smile Helping people is what attracts me to being a caregiver I enjoy talking and begin able to be a listening ear to know that someone is grateful for you just being around is what make me love my job being a mother is what I'm most proud of.

Born and raised here in Texas. Mother had me young so, my grandmother was my babysitter/ caregiver while mom and dad worked. I thought it was normal to always be around the elderly, at least It was to me. That's how and where my love for the elderly got started. It was planted, then later bloomed. While living abroad in Las Vegas, Nevada, 2014 Received the best training to be a PCA. learned about Caregiving, Trained in Hospice Care. - Assisting patients in bathing and dressing -Medication Reminder - Household assistance such as laundry, linens, housekeeping - Meal preparation - Shopping, transportation to and from - Companionship and assistance in enjoyment of daily life. I am absolutely willing and happy to help with respite care and or service. Because I understand that everyone in caregiving needs a break or just a little time alone to breathe. My story : I was raised for a short period of time by My great nana and uncle . When they became sick, they were moved into hospice care. I recall doing everything I could to brighten their spirits and provide them happiness and peace. But at those moments, I discovered my calling and purpose. Working with the elderly senior generation now has the same implications. Working with each family, I offer the same comfort, love, and peace. I find myself caring for this generation as if they were my own family. My goal with each family is to constantly provide light to each individuals I serve. I have a job that takes patience and a compassionate heart. Experience wise I've spent years in nursing homes, assisted living facilities, long-term care facilities, private homes, and one-on-one care, learning and practicing so many skills and equipment that I'm convinced I can assist you.
