I am a loving, compassionate caregiver, who believes in providing the highest degree of quality care and service to patients in their homes, assisted living, memory care, Hospice or other types of facilities; and am seeking the opportunity to give back to our elderly, the respect and caring they deserve. The thing I enjoy most about caring for others is the blessing I receive from the patients. I think the Lord has called me to this type of work so that He, in working through me, shares the comfort, peace and love, that only He can give. I have discovered in working with the terminally ill or those in Hospice, that they end of blessing me far more as I learn about their background, family, spiritual beliefs -- they become my family. One of my most precious moments, was being with a sweet lady who was at the end of life. As the CD's played soft music of old hymns and after praying and reading scripture to her for several days; I experienced her smile and hand on my cheek, just before the angels escorted her from this world into Glory.
I love assisting and making others happy, making sure that they have the help they need in order to live a rewarding life. Being a caregiver gives me a sense of accomplishment, and it makes me realize what life is all about. A personal achievement I am proud of is whenever I see a family member of a client, noticing improvements in their family or parent's life, and thank my employer what a great service provider we are. The change I see in our clients because of the services we provide makes me proud. I graduated from the Keller Graduate School of Management with honors. I worked in various capacities and earned good wages, but, I only felt fully fulfilled when I had the opportunity to work part time as a caregiver. I developed and grew to love being a caregiver! Since then, my employers have commended me and as such, I have won several awards for a job well done. I have been commended by both my employers and those we served. I have an MBA with concentration in Human Resources Management, Master of Public Administration with concentration in Healthcare Management, worked as a Financial Counselor, Customer Service Representative, Program Manager, amongst others but being a caregiver makes me fulfilled.
I have decided to pursue caregiving further as I enter nursing school. I am familiar with working with all sorts of patients of any age. I have references available upon request. I have a masters degree in medical sciences, but decided I'd rather work directly with patients and clients than in a lab. I am caring, patient, have a lot of experience (not all listed in previous employment) and diligent in my work. I like to stay active outside of school and am a very energetic and optimistic person. I'd love to be your next companion caregiver so if you think we'd be a good fit please do not hesitate to contact me!
