I am a 42 year old married mother of 1 College sophomore and a Veteran. I have been doing Home Health Care on and off for the past 20 plus years. I nursed my own grandmother through a partial mastectomy and knee surgery. I assisted in hospice care for my husband's mother. I understand how hard it is to keep a job and to care for family members. I am not a fan of nursing homes I feel it is better for one to be at home with family and familiar surroundings. Please message for references.

It is my calling. Caring for other give me joy to know that I was there , when someone needed me. I am now working on my register nurse degree, hope in the next year I will have my achievement. I am very a reliable person, honest, and give my best in every thing I do. I love to cook, read and spend time with my family. I am also a dog lover.
I BECAME A CAREGIVER YEARS AGO AS A LIVE IN HOME HEALTH AID. MY HUSBAND TRAVELED ALOT AND I WOULD SEE HIM ONCE OR TWICE A MONTH, SO A JOB OPPORTUNITY CAME UP TO HELP PEOPLE IN NEED AND I REALY ENJOY IT. I WENT TO TEXAS CAREER INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY TO BE A CERTIFIED NURSE AID "CNA" AND GRADUATED WITH MY CERTIFICATE OF COMPLETION. I LOVE WORKING WITH PEOPLE AND THE PEOPLE I WORK WITH, FAMILY, FRIENDS AND JUST PEOPLE IN GENERAL. I TAKE PRIDE IN MY WORK AND ALWAYS IMPROVING MY SKILL SETS TO BE THE BEST THAT I CAN BE IN WHAT EVER I SET OUT TO DO, I AM AN HONEST PERSON, DEPENDABLE, ON TIME, RELIABLE, CARING, LOVING, HAPPY, AND BLESSED TO BE ABLE TO HELP PEOPLE BECAUSE THIS IS WHAT I BELEIVE LIFE IS ALL ABOUT, LIVING YOUR LIFE TO BE THE BEST THAT YOU CAN BE IN HELPING AND CARING FOR OTHERS IN NEED BECAUSE TO ME THIS IS WHAT LIFE IS ALL ABOUT.
I love making people smile, I enjoy doing things for people to enrich a persons life. I take pride and give great attention to detail (I'm a retired photographer so attention to detail was extremely important). I don't want a desk job, I want to be physical in my job using my mind and body.
I enjoy being around people and I listen to them. It give me great pleasure to help them .I started working in a nursing home with my mother and I have always enjoyed it.Giving the quality of life to them before they leave this world. That I can let them have their dignity and respect as long as they can.It give me the pleasure to service them and give them love and effect that sometime they don't get at home or from their family Giving them quality care before they leave this world.
My name is Miriam Zapot , I have being a nurses aide for 7yrs. I have always worked in a nursing and rehabilitation facility. What makes me being a great caregiver is the fact that I take care of my patients as if it is someone of my own family. I have empathy, compassion, and patience for my patients. I take care and treat them with dignity and respect just like I would want somebody to do the same way for my parents, grandparents, and for me someday. I became a caregiver because I want to be a nurse someday and it gives me the experience and knowledge that I need to be a great nurse. This profession gives me the opportunity to make a difference in someone's life by helping and encourage them with their daily activities. Also to give support and comfort to family members. Another reason that I like of being a caregiver is not that I am doing a job that pays me and I get to go home. It is the learning experience that I get from my patients thru their stories and experiences of their own personal life, their kindness and appreciation of other family members as well. A personal achievement that I feel proud of is that in all these 7 years as a caregiver, I have never had a complain from any of my patients or issues with any of my coworkers despite that sometimes this kind of work can be stressful. My bosses have always given me nice compliments and encouragement to continue with my education in the nursing field. Lastly, I completed my basic courses in college and I was able to get certified as a nurses aide (CNA), medication aide (CMA) while working overnights. It was a challenge for me because I had to provide and take care of my two little children as a single parent.
I became a caregiver because I truly care about people and making a difference in their lives for the better. I love getting to know new people and building relationships. I have been care-taking for over 6 years. Every person that I have taken care of has gotten to know my family and felt welcome to all of our events and gatherings, some times even holidays. As for my personal enjoyments, I love cooking, gardening, painting, working on cars with my husband and being with my family. I have 2 girls that I adore. An eight year old and a 7 month old. They are amazing.
What makes me be a good caregiver is that i have good customer service skills .I am proud to say I always smile, it goes a long way! The reason I got into caregiving- my dad got sick and I wanted to take care of him so I decided to go to school. Now that God has blessed me to be a great caregiver I want to help someone else to get the best care.
I got interested in caregiving while in Colorado, I pursued my CNA license but after moving to Texas I went another route . A family illness in 2012 put me in a place where I could see that great caregivers are needed badly , so HERE I AM!! I am honest , with a spotless background, references will be provided. I am patient and kind and am very understanding of what each individual family is going thru. I am experienced with dementia ,end of life care , Parkinson's, ALS and hospice care. I use Hoyer lifts daily and cook daily . I have children but they have all left the nest now.
I am a very positive person. You can ask anyone of my previous employers they will agree. I also love history, and love to her the older generation talk about their lives. It allows me to get educated on history while building a friendship with the older generation. I enjoy helping people. My personal achievement that I can say I am very proud of, is I have left a huge positive impression on my ex coworkers and students. I have been contacted by many of them stating that I would always make their day with my positive attitude and look on life in general. I love to make people feel happy. I am very proud of my attitude on life.
An outgoing individual, energetic, physically active and really polite! Caregiving has peaked my interest as a person who has taken care of relatives/friends months on end, realizing homecare is like second nature to me at this point. Homecare is an amazing way of giving back to the world. What i enjoy the most about caregiving is the companionship, helping somebody in need and having someone to talk to brings out the best of the heart and mind in my opinion. as far as personal achievements go i like to think that the people i have already helped are those achievements, and I'd love to help even more people in the future. thank you for your consideration
I am a passionate caregiver who is dependable, responsible and dedicated to the care of my patients. I am following the directions of my mother who was a caregiver for over thirty years. She showed me how to teach each person with empathy, compassion and cared for the whole person while building relationships with the families of her patients.
