I am very compassionate and empathetic. I have taken care of others for many years including family members suffering from dementia as well as other cognitive and physical disorders. I enjoy helping others obtain happiness and contentment while being able to live in a home setting. The best part of being a care giver is the personal reward. My proudest personal achievement is being a mom and nana.

Over the years I lost all four of my grandparents to cancer. I became a caregiver because I want to help people that are going through the same obstacles they once were. Helping people is my passion. The best feeling in the world is making a slight difference in one's life, making someone smile is everything. When I take care of my resident's and I recieve a smile it makes me feel like I've done a wonderful job. What attracted me to caregiving is going to the nursing home everyday and seeing my grandfathers nurses and aides come in, they always had a smile on their face and it gave him one too. The things they did for him were amazing and I wanted to do the same for someone else's grandparents.

I got attracted to being a caregiver upon my Great Grandfather's mental decline. I saw he needed help and knew I wanted to help as many people as I could to ensure they had the best quality of life possible. The thing I enjoy most about being a caregiver is giving back to the community. I am proud to be the only person in my family to get a college degree and move out of the state of Wyoming!

I'm a very motivated, kind and caring person who just wants to help those in need. I love being able to be companion to someone to needs one. I have 2 kids. I just lost my very first client. She was 100. She was my everything. I was with her for 22 months.

I love my job as a caregiver! I love helping those who need me! It makes me feel whole and accomplished as a person. I have a huge heart for caring for and helping the elderly. My best accomplishment is becoming "friends " with those I care for currently in assisted living and dementia care. I know it can be difficult but I love what I do! My mother had dementia and I wanted to help those in need. I want to help them in their daily lives and hopefully help them stay at home longer. Assisted living facility that I work with currently, is great! But I'd like a more personal care setting.

I have been in the home health care since 1997 when I became working with veterans. I have worked for nursing homes as well as Ontario arc and seneca cayuga arc. I have worked part time for private duties jobs as well. I love helping participants have the best quality of life. I'm very out going and organized. I believe that living a routine life helps consumers complete daily tasks and helps reach goals. I wear my heart on my sleeve and people label me as a nurturer. I can make the most difficult person open up to me. I'm dependable and reliable . I love to cook and clean. I'm willing to take on challenges.

i am 36 i been care giving since i was 25 well actually all my life my mom died at age 3 and i was the only girl so i help take care of the boys i got a older brother who has learning disabilities who i help care for and in return i learned to have passion for the care for others its my heart and soul i love to serve others it makes me feel rewarded a since of fulfillment i guess. i am selfless as to where i always think of others and put them before myself as for this just job i feel its so good for me do to the great amount of empathy i have towards others.i have never been late and always worked when asked even if its a double i love honest that works both ways. i do however get attached easily and start to love my clients like family and i am very open with them and share everything this is good and bad because at that point i am not separating work for personal life but with this kind of work its hard. i did go to school to become a medical assistant and did graduate top of my class and with a perfect attendance but i really like one on ones not to much into the doctors offices.

It's an exciting transformation becoming an adult and I am looking for some steady hours to get my rent paid! I am avalible everyday of the year during the mornings, days, nights, holidays as well as overnights. I have done it all and have my diploma, CPR, PCA, HCSS, CDA, NAECY, and my ECE certifications. My strongest attribute is compassion, patience, and humility. Growing up, I was influenced by my maternal grandmother, who was a Missionary in the Church of Jesus Christ. She would bring strangers to our home all the time, especially during holidays. I learned how you can change a person's mood & life, just by being compassionate. This in itself, attracts me to showing humanistic qualities, and I enjoy making others feel a sense of worth. I have had many struggles of my own in life, too many to name one, as they were all a journey of achievements. Notably, I was the US Navy and survived Dessert Storm from 1988-1992. Some of the affect of being in the service qualified my as a disabled veteran. But it never stopped me from developing my skills as a caregiver.
