I have been in the medical field for almost 14 years. Healthcare is my passion. My grandmother was diagnosed with ovarian cancer when I was 8 years old. Everyday that I was with her, I done my best to take care of her and get her anything that she needed. She told me that I was her little nurse, and that stuck in my mind. I knew from that moment on that I wanted to be in healthcare. I enjoy taking care of people, getting to know them and doing my best to provide the care that is needed. A personal achievement that makes me most proud would be doing the heimlich maneuver on a choking Vietnam vet successfully. A couple years later his diabetes and edema got worse and he was not expected to make it much longer. I stayed with the family and done my best to make him and his family comfortable during this time and gave them as much support that I could.

I feel like I am a caregiver by nature & I've been this way as long as I remember. It gives a sense of satisfaction knowing that I help people.

I love being a caregiver. I take pride in my ability to connect with and love people in general. I feel that this isnt a job , for me its more of a calling. I look forward to getting to know you and your family. Thank you

Hello my name is Stephanie and I am 37 years old I am a mother of 1 beautiful Daughter and I adopted a golden Labrador retriever. I want to say that I just love helping people if I can. I have a lot of experience in taking care of many types of people. I have been taught by mother and father to respect all kinds of people no matter what the Disability is. I have a big heart and I am willing to help anyone who needs it. I would say that just meeting people.amd being there to help who I can is what attracted me to want to be a caregiver. I would say that the thing that I love about being a caregiver is getting to meet new people and helping them with whatever they need and becoming their friend and making sure they get what they need and give them the respect that they need and show them the love that I have and am willing to share with then and their families. My personal achievement that I am proud of is 1 being the best mother I can to my child and I am in school going for my Bachelors Degree in Adult Behavioral Sciemce. I'm a great caregiver because I have worked with so many different people I am able to adapt to their individual needs. I have an outgoing personality and I enjoy making people feel special. I started caregiving when I was young. I have one uncle who was born with epilepsy and he's mentally handicapped. I enjoy the moments of joy I can share with my clients and the peace of mind that I can bring their loved ones. I take lots of pictures of our outings and smiles to share with loved ones. When working with my last client I streamlined the time card process and I also found misuse of the clients debit card by one of the other employees. I also started a few different procedures for everyone to fallow so we could be more consistent with his care. I started all of these while working closely with Bessie and she said I was a God send to her family and she was so grateful I was there for her father.
