I am a reliable, polite, well knowledge CNA. 5 years experience at varying degrees of needs. Became a CNA to help others and move closer to my goals in the health care field, currently in school to become a medical assistant. I love hearing people stories and sharing experiences with others.
Skills & Certifications: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
I have always enjoyed working with people and have missed that since retiring from nursing a few years ago. I love getting to know people, finding out their interests and hearing their life stories. I am an upbeat and friendly person and find great joy in being of assistance to others in ways that improve their quality of life and happiness. I grew up in a big family and value those special relationships. I realize a lot of people don't have a big family to rely on and I'm here to help fill that need. (I didn't see a place to mention this, but I am also available to help with your pets.)
I cared for my aging mother and realize how important it is to have quality care for loved ones as they become more frail and vulnerable. I am professional and personable and love people. I am attentive to detail and take pride in a job well done. I have worked in a professional environment for the past 30 years as a social worker, I am reliable and trustworthy.
I became a caregiver once my dad became really ill with Lukiema and heart problems. I wanted to be able to learn and experience working with the elderly who couldn't take care of themselves and kind of prepare myself for taking care of my dad. It's hard to answer what makes me a great caregiver, I honestly just love caring for others. I love getting just a simple smile out of them or a laugh. It makes me feel really good inside knowing the work I do is beneficial and it's truly rewarding at the end of the day when I go home knowing I did good.

My name is Maryanna and I have been taking care of seniors now for over 15 years. I am looking to change back into private care. I live here in Tacoma in the North End. Its just me and my husband now as both of our parents have passed. I am a very passionate and caring person and relate very well with the elderly. I love to talk about all types of subjects and life itself. Also I am a clean freak :) with keeping things in order and clean and tidy. My references are not posted but I can get them upon request. I am drug free and have all the papers and documents as a caregiver. I would like to meet with you and your loved one and have a one on one conversation. After resigning from my job of 10 years to take care of my own elderly parents, I found it to be a new career choice. After caring for my parents in my home for 5 years. I went into the assisted living field of caregiving. I have found that my passion is to be able to work with the elderly so they can stay in their own home. This is what I did for my parents and with the cost of being in a private assisted living is so expensive, it puts so much more stress on the loved one's family. I have a passion for animals, cooking, gardening and would love to be able to help the elderly continue their passion as well. I see myself as : Promoting positive behaviour Culturally-sensitive Personable and friendly First Aid and CPR Certified Hospice care experience Compassionate caregiver Companionship and emotional support Trustworthy companion Patient-focused care Communication skills Commitment to quality and service Dementia and Alzheimer's knowledge Mother of 3 Grandmother of 2 Good Listener Gentle Hands Calm Voice Caring Spirit Gardening Pet Lover Tidy Great references upon request. My available hours are Monday-Friday 8:00-6:00. Thanks, Maryanna

I have been a paid caregiver since 2006, independently, and also through a company, Catholic Community Services, specializing with Alzheimer's' and dementia, I was an aid to my mom who had dementia, and a pacemaker before that. I have been attending college for medical assisting for the past three years while working part-time. i would love to return to the fast paced work that I enjoyed before college. I have already paid 72.00 to have a certified background check as well as badge through CertifiedBackground.com
I became a caregiver after watching my step-mother take care of her mother, I wanted to help people both physically and mentally the same way my step-mother did. I like being a caregiver mainly because of the actual part of giving care, whether it be helping somebody get dressed or just spending time with somebody. I enjoy helping people feel as independent as they can while I help them. I am proud that I have been able to grow with this line of work, becoming an assertive, social human being that enjoys giving care to a variety of different people whether they have cancer, a broken hip, or just can't remember how to get dressed for the day. I am interested in becoming a massage therapist and once that happens I hope to stay mainly with elderly people, I enjoy massage and believe it is a great alternative to relieve pain. Also I enjoy reading, writing, nature, animals and I recently started to relearn how to play the guitar.
Skills & Certifications: CNA
Previous 10 years in small business ownership working with families specifically in housekeeping and personal assisting. Currently working with two physicians part-time as a personal assistant within their private households and have additional space during the week to offer support and services for seniors. Many services can be trained on the job directly to fit the needs of each client, though I have some previous work with seniors with dementia, individuals in cancer recovery, and many people in grief, widowed, or with depression. Much of my strength comes from compassion and genuineness via listening well, and anticipating the needs of others without them being communicated. I appreciate the opportunity to learn how to serve others better, and am offering financial discounts to families of seniors needing a reliable service provider. I am currently not quality aging certified, a nurse-practitioner, or CNA certified so please be aware of this when considering hire.
