Hello, my name is Taquashia Brown and I am a caregiver. I love working with the elderly , with kids, those with disabilities & whoever else need caring for. I carry many attributes that make me a caregiver such as I'm very caring, loving, trustworthy, ambitious, strong, & out going! I will be working on my CNA soon but until then I will be caregiving while in school. I can't say I'm new to Montgomery, Alabama because I've lived here for over a year and I am loving it. A lot of opportunities, deeply rooted communities , & diversity. My plan is to just make a difference in my community.

I am very social. I relate very well to clients. I am confidential. Very independent, very polite, educated. I am experienced in using a hover lift, bathing clients, feeding client, handling clients ' personal matters (if necessary). Although I taught special education and have worked several administrative positions, the healthcare field has always been my first love. Had I not received a four year academic scholarship to ASU I would have pursued a career in School of Nursing at Tuskegee University. But I am proud to say that my daughter did so and for the past nine years she has been an RN at the Montgomery Veterans hospital.

The love I have for my patients. I enjoy interacting with patients. My personal achievement that I am proud of is taking care of my patient f I r past 20 years until she deceased. What attracted me to being a care giver is me being a sitter observation getting to know my patients.

I love helping others to acheive their goals. I am a hard worker, who comes to work on time.

I am very compassionate, caring and empathetic person. I have experience working with disabled, geriatric, behavioral and mentally challenged persons. I love helping people. I am responsible and dependable. I have been told that I have a smile that lights up a room and a calm disposition. I have over 10 years of Health and Wellness care pertaining to the the Geriatric community. My experience includes working with Dementia and Alzheimer's patients. I know how important it is to have someone there to make sure they attend their doctor appointments, understand the information from the doctor, and to be able to ask questions if needed. What I've enjoy the most about being a Caregiver is the friendship that my patient and I develops over a period of time. One of the many things, I've learned being a Companion Caregiver is you must treat the person you are taking care of like family along with dignity and respect to be able to provide exceptional care. I am a dual major student at Alabama State University studying Social work and Psychology with a 3.76 GPA. I am very kind and I love working with people. Before I move to Montgomery. I moved in with my grandparents for 5 years and cared for them every since. I loved being able to transport them different places , caring for them , and keeping them in good health. That attracted me to wanting to become and expand my experience as a caregiver.

Provide patients with help moving in and out of beds, baths, wheelchairs, or automobiles and with dressing and grooming - Bathe patients - Care for patients by changing bed linens, washing and ironing laundry, cleaning, or assisting with their personal care - Entertain, converse with, or read aloud to patients to keep them mentally healthy and alert - Check patients' pulse, temperature, and respiration - Provide patients and families with emotional support and instruction in areas such as caring for infants, preparing healthy meals, living independently, or adapting to disability or illness - Perform a variety of duties as requested by clients.

Caring for people comes second nature to me.I am very reliable ,trustworthy and patient as well.Helping others gives me joy, especially when I've worked with them and they reach certain goals.Im well aware of how challenging a caregivers job can be but I'm up for the challenge!

My name is Dominique Morris I am a certified healthcare professional , have been for about ten years now started a DSP (direct service personnel) to those who had mental and physical disabilities , I obtained my certification in nursing assistant with my CPR certificate having my ten years of experiences in the health field . In my current role, as of being a nursing assistant five years and I prided myself on establishing a bond with both clients and their families with mutual communication. I am very personable with a friendly enthusiastic disposition putting patients at ease. My organizational skills are excellent and I am comfortable utilizing computers and technology. I have been complimented by colleagues and patients for my ability to resolve complex matters. It would be my pleasure to bring my skills knowledge and dedication to.

I'm a compassionate caregiver who knows how to keep a level head during emergencies. I'm able to provide a number of services to patients to make them feel comfortable and safe at all times. I will keep a calm, upbeat demeanor to give patients more than just a caregiver but to give them a friend, actively listening to take my time to understand what a patient is trying to communicate. The reason why I am a caregiver because not only is it related to my degree, but I am a helper and a server. I enjoy helping those in need to promote a better quality of life (mental, emotional, social, physical and spiritual domains). I assists elderly and juveniles with mental and/or physical disabilities through activities of daily living and maintain a clean, safe, and healthy environment. I have excellent customer service skills, people person, dependable, reliable, honest, and pet friendly.

I can get along with just about anyone so there will never be a dull moment between me and the patient. I like to help others and care for them. It's something I never did before and I would like to give it a try. That I will be graduating from college soon because I only have a few classes left.

I am currently a full time student at Alabama State University. I graduate May 2020 and plan on going back to school to obtain a doctorate degree in physical therpy. During my down time I like shopping, reading, and traveling.

I enjoy being able to give companionship, cooking, and I have experience in making sure medications are organized and given at the appropriate times of day.
