I got into the non-medical caregiver position because of a well known private duty RN whom had taken care of many families over the past 35 in Las Vegas noticed my kindness, generosity, and love for others in 2011 whom took me under her wings. I come from a family of RN's and she needed help, but never trusted anyone, until the day she met me. My first job was assisting her PT with a local well known family. I was reliable, did an outstanding job, and trustworthy which turned into full-time non-medical caregiver position under her mentorship. This opportunity allowed me to secure other opportunities. Unfortunately, my loved ones passed away and was called home, including my mentor. I really love what I do and it's an honor to be able to help during their days when they need it the most. I have been into caregiving my whole life. I know what is like to be in the caretaking procedure. When I was six, I was hit by a van while riding my bike. My mother and father with faith and prayer worked and guided me the whole way through, and did not give up on me. They did not quit. I thank God for them. Now, I willing and able to express my love and generosity back to the world.

I became a caregiver because I have the heart and desire to work with the elderly. Before my greatgrandmother died, when I would come home from school, my job was to assist her with anything that is needed such as: feeding, bathing, changing diapers, wheelchair assistance, laundry, and assistance with trying to memorize some things since she had Alzheimers. I've have also had experience at a few nursing homes and working house-to-house. It puts a smile on their face to see me take great care of them and for them to know that sompone does care about them in whatever situation they're in. That's what I'm mostly proud of myself about. I think of it as it can may be me one day, I would want someone to take great care of me as well as I do for them.

What I love most about caregiving is being able to be there for someone when they need it the most. My grandmother is the reason I started caregiving, considering she only has one arm so she limited to what she can do. My Mother opened her home health aid business in 2014. Unfortunately I was not old enough to work with her, but as soon as I turned 16 I was ready to learn and work.

I am Memphis native who enjoys helping others. I enjoy baby sitting for friends and family members who need help time to time. I often times tend to my great uncle who has dementia help to feed, bath, and keep him company until my cousin gets off of work.
