I am organized, patient, and empathetic. I have reliable transportation and a flexible schedule. During school, I took classes in aging and development. Although I have not worked in the caregiving field, I am eager to learn and grow. I would say a personal achievement I am proud of is moving out of my hometown to pursue my goals. I was able to meet new people, go outside of my comfort zone and further my education.

The traits that best fit me to be a great caregiver is that I am patient, a great listener, and I love to make people feel happy, and loved. What attracted me to being a care giver is after doing it for about a year, and completely loving it, I felt really happy with the change I made in other peoples lives. What I enjoy about being a caregiver is that I can see the importance, and the value of my hard work first hand. A personal achievement I'm proud of is being able to complete my pharmacy tech course in order help more in my community.

I became a Caregiver because my mother was a Caregiver for the elderly when I was growing up. I would sometimes go with her to the homes of the people she cared for and saw what a difference she made in their lives. Her clients were so appreciative of even the smallest things she did for them. Being a Caregiver affords me the opportunity to also make a difference in people's lives. I cared for my last two clients, one for 2 months and one for 9 years and both had become like family to me. I feel very fortunate to have had the opportunity to work with both of them. I am proud of the fact that I have provided excellent care to both Yong and Rosie and at the same time raised two children. I have been very involved in their schools through PTA from elementary to high school. I have served on the executive board of PTA as Membership Coordinator, Treasurer, Secretary and President for 12 years while also working 40 hours or more a week. I enjoy reading, painting and vacationing at the beach.
