I loved taking care all kind of people cauae i was raised up in a loving home always taking care my grandparents, my parents until they all passed, i also worked as care giver for more than ten years, now i worked with kids, but my passion is working with older people. It really makes me happy when i see a smile on my clients face, that means i did something right.

I grew up in a big family, and extended family, as with all samoan families. WE care for everyone. \\"It takes a village\\" is so literal in our culture.This is still my personality, I love to help people. I got into the medical field because I love helping people. I continue to thrive to achieve more knowledge in all areas, including medicines. As of late, I have been looking into natural remedies to cure ailments. I want to eventually finish school, because I stopped working to care for my little family. I am very passionate about my family.

Hello! I have decided to continuing being a caregiver after I took care of my grandmother for sometime before she pass away. I was thirteen years of age. she inspire me to take this route in my life after high school. I wanted to reach out and help people that can't fully help themselves. I enjoy helping the elderly and young ones too that needs assistant for daily activities. I love being a caregiver in so many ways like; socializing with them, being there for them when their family aren't. I feel like I'm their second family. Helping them trying to get back to their normal routine life is an achievement to me, seeing them getting the ability to do things independently it makes me very proud. I use to work two jobs. 1). Norwoodpines alzheimers care center and 2). College oak nursing and rehabilitation. I use to do this for at least 9 yrs and finally stopped. My mother passed away last year 2013. I was sad that she had passed away and i wasn't able to take care of her. It really hit me hard and it made me more passionate towards what i do. I have four beautiful kids and i sometime take them to visit my job. The look on people's face is priceless and when i bring my kids for a vist. I really love what I do and happy to be a part of this nursing caregiver life..thank you very much!! Hope you will like my little blog and can't wait to further it somewhere bigger.

I love to help out the elders just because I'm used to it by taking good care of Father and he had a stroke so I always helped him and take good care of him. Also, a good communication with the elders makes me feel comfortable and helpfully.

Actually i havent been in one of this job but the reason why i wanted to be a caregiver is because i use to stay with my grandma and she kinda lost her memory cause shes getting there,so i do everything for like cleaning the house,give her a good bath,cook for her,and the most important thing is taking good care of her. Growing up I have always help my family with all kinds of medical problems. My uncle(was 60 years old) had a stroke that i would take him shopping, prepare his food, bathe, and potty. My grandma(was 86 years old) had Alzheimer that i also help take care. My dad(85 years old) comes to Hawaii every other 3 months for his prostate cancer appointments and i help take him to his appointments and prepare his food. I haven't work as a caregiver, but i took care a lot of my families. I would love to help others too!

I woke up prepare my mom food and also my kid's for school then go work always call and. Check on my mom and my kids remind my sister her medicine and everything i wish my mom is still here with me... Thank you

I love serving people and getting to know them is the best part of being a caregiver. Getting to know a person or individual helps me as a caregiver to define myself. Being a caregiver is not easy but having a positive attitude towards things can make my work fun and appreciative. No matter how challenging it may seem but with a attitude of gratitude will turn things around. Seeing the people I care for happy makes me even happier. What would life be without a smile or seeing someone else's smile? As a caregiver I will do my best to provide the help others needed. I will not be perfect right away, I might make mistakes but that is how we learn to do our job and move forward.

I am a caring loving woman, i have lost both my parents and when ever i work with elderly i treated them like my own. You have to have love in you when you take care of anyone. I enjoy when they tell stories about themselves and really enjoyed doing things that they used to love doing when they were young. I smiled every time i get of work knowing i did my best to my patients.

I enjoyed taking care of elder family members and would like to help others in this way. I like doing work that has the potential to make a difference in someone's life. When I was graduated from high school I knew what I was going to do next was to attend college and get a degree in business just because I love math and I'm good at it. However everything changed when my grandfather started to have some problems with his health, he had high blood pressure, prostate cancer and a little bit of dimensia. So I decided to drop out of college and takes care of my grandfather. It was the right and the best decision I made in my life. Although, he passed two years ago and I missed him so much. My father had a stroke back in 2009 and my mother has been in Dialysis for 17 years now so they are both disabled and it hurts me because I really love and care for them. Right now I'm taking care of my disabled mother but my father is not with us. I am trying to fly him from American Samoa to Hawaii so we can be together and help him also because he's not US Citizen. I hope this is going to explain what kind of person I am and I would love to care for elderly people just how I cared for my late grandfather and how I care for my disable parents.
