Hello, my name is Angelica Molina, I am a 22 year old female who as a little girl always grew up helping others. I am a self starter and enjoy helping others in any many types of ways. I am self motivated, independent, encouraging, just to name few. When deciding to become a caregiver a main reason is because my own grandparents. They lived and enjoyed their life didn't let an age stop them, yes some things took a little longer to do but the independence they still had a wanted opened my eyes. Many people restrict the elderly to stay home and in the words of my grandmother "I may be old but I'm still human and I still want to enjoy life." Being a caregiver is just in my eyes someone to help you with the little things and just being there for when they need someone. Becoming my best friend is the relationship I strive to build.

I'm a hard working, outgoing, compassionate and dedicated person. I started caregiving because I wanted an overnight job, and I fell in love! I love being able to be a positive influence in others life and make a difference. I enjoy being able to go on outings with my residents, as well as have bonding time. Hello! A trait that makes me an amazing caregiver is the fact that I CARE. I already have personal experience with caregiving, during the summers I take care of my grandmother in Mexico. Honestly leaving a family member with a complete stranger is scary so I do my best only to treat others the way I would like my grandmother treated. I have always been the "nurse" of my family and the "mom" of my friends. I love helping people and putting a smile on their face. What I enjoy most about caregiving is knowing that I can make someones day just a little better. I am currently very proud of my motivation for college, during high school it was rough but now my attitude towards my education has completely changed.

I been caregiving since I been 13 years old with my neighbor until his passing. I really have a passion for helping the unable. Since then both of my parents were diagnosed with cancer.. I immediately knew that I would be there every step of the way for my parents.. I now have been my mothers caregiver for the last 5 years. I seen so many people go without family so I really enjoy being family and treating them as such it really brings me joy.

My name is Mayra Acuna and I am 25 years old. I am going to school to become a DNP (Doctor of Science in Nursing- Nurse Practitioner). I love working as a caregiver because I can help patients become as independent as possible so that they can continue living their life to the best of their abilities. I chose this job because once I graduate as a doctor (which is a couple years away), I will be able to assist my patients better and give them the proper care because I have been in their homes and have seen how they truly live. I think that it is very important for a caregiver to show love, passion, and compassion toward what they do, and that is exactly how I feel with this job. When I say that I am a caregiver, I say it with pride. A lot of people may view this as a just another job but for me, this is more than just a job, it is a steppingstone to what I want to do as a career for the rest of my life. Therefore, I take every day seriously and I treat every patient with the love and respect that I would treat someone from my family.

The ability of making a difference in someone's life by helping them with the most common things such as bathing , cleaning , shopping and assisting with just Little day today to day life activities just makes me happy. I enjoyed learning different things from the people I care for.
