CG for about 15 years. I help them with the groceries stores, making and preparing a bed, washing, doctor's appointment, feeding, light housekeeping, cooking, and some basic ADLs.

Patience- When I work with someone who needs homecare it is important that I am patient and understanding it helps to sometimes put your self in the other person shoes and see what it might be like to ask people for help. Reliable- A great caregiver is someone that can be counted on to be there to provide home care every Thursday morning then the caregiver shows up, unless there is a emergency those needing a home care service need a reliable and dependable caregiver. Trustworthy- Most people who need homecare services are in a vulnerable position, They are inviting someone into their home to be near their valuable. A good caregiver is someone who is trustworthy in this regard, as well as in being trusted to keep the clients information confidential. I have become a caregiver do to my family. I have taken care of multiple kinds of people from people with disabilities like Parkinson, CP, dementia, alzheimers, and more as well as thoughs without. The company i have worked for had at least 4 clients on shift. With that in mind I have taken care for 14 different people over my life and some for many years. I try to make sure the client is well taken care of with personal touches so that it not just a new staff but someone that will help raise up the person I take care of. If I'm happy about anything most its that I am liked among all the client that I have ever taken care of.

I am a mother of 3 young boys. I have completed a phlebotomy certificate program. I have completed a CNA course and worked in a nursing home facility after completion of the course for about 3 years. I have also worked at a state home in Camden NY until recently when I had a new baby. I am now a stay at home mother looking to get back into the working field.

What makes me a great caregiver is that I'm very attentive I care for people I love to be there when in need be a great companionship. The reason why I became a caregiver was because before I had been working for in home care for about 6 months, I've learned so much from it and what it's like to care for elders. Being a caregiver teaches you patience and persistence just being friendly being there for others. The only achievement I'm proud of is knowing that I am able to be that person someone needs in care.

I truly believe a great caregiver is naturally dependable, compassionate, and trustworthy. They should be able to empathize with the needs of their patients and identify them even before their families do. I enjoy working with people and most enjoy jobs where i have one-on-one interaction. I also enjoy taking care of elder family members and knowing that they happy with the care I provide makes me also happy and so I feel I can help others in this way. I like older adults and feel you can get along well with a variety of elders because they remind me that I have a mother and grandma so I put my all to it. I am Chris and I would say what makes me a great care giver is ....... 1. Honest 2. Responsible 3 . Adaptable to any situation. I find that caring for others comes very natural for me. I think this is why I am drawn to it I use to work for a family business but wanted to do this type of work so started back up few years ago. I currently work for New Way sevices which cares for developly disabled adults but do this just 24 hours aweek at one of their group homes. I can show recent back ground check or i can do a new one. I have experience in elderly, child and paraplegic as well as development and mental adults which i do now. I am looking for more one on one opposed to what i have now which is 3 at a time. Chris

I am a very loving and compassionate person with great attention to detail. I have been a nanny for almost 7 years now and I have loved every minute of it.
