I love caring for my patients. I began my caregiver journey after spending years bedside by my late grandmother after she got a stroke. I have been able to see how important having a caregiver who actually cares about their patients first hand. I am proud to be a CNA and I am always ready to help cultivate an environment full of smiles and comfort. :)

Having had personal experience with caring over a loved one during the last few years of her life, I know the importance of it. I am bilingual and have a very good understanding of the common health issues elderly face.

I was employed as a personal assistant/caregiver for 2 years by a woman with polio. I assisted with her by doing tasks such as cooking numerous recipes, gardening, cleaning as well clerical work. Additionally, I helped her with art classes she conducted around the area. These classes involved instructed children and adults who were physically or mentally challenged. I learned how to instruct them in making the art project as well as talked with them about themselves and their attendants on how best to help them. Often, I was sent out alone to conduct these classes when my employer was unable to attend. After that job, I used these skills to care for my mother, who had Parkinson's disease and the resulting mental problems, and later my father, after he had heart surgery. As with my previous job, I do cooking, cleaning, laundry and anything else they may need.

Hello, I have done this type of work for quite some time including memory care and hospice. I enjoy talking with patients and share stories even if they can no longer talk. I find it soothing and comforting for the soul on both ends. I am pretty easy going and have much experience in helping people with daily living activities, exercises, appointments, etc. Currently I am working on my hands on experience hours needed to apply for Physician Assistant school, therefore I am pretty astute when it comes to nutrition and other sciences.
