I enjoy helping others. It gives me great pleasure and satisfaction knowing I am lovingly providing great care to others. Just having four children and having plenty of experience in responsibility is a great advantage.

I became a care giver because i am very persionate and empathetic toward people. As a teenager growing up, my dad was shot and after two years of rehabilitation in Strockmandaville in London, he returned home confined in a wheejchair. What i like most about being a caregiver is the smile and the differece i make in my clients' lives. I treat them like they are my parents or I am the one in their shoes. My personal achievement I am proud of was being able to beats all odds and finished my Associate Degree with three honors in2011, as a single mother. Besides the teenage phases with mt daughter, she is doing extremely well in scool. She is sixteen in 11th grade and taking AP classes. I hailed from Sierra Leone West Africa. I came to the US as a studentbut dropped out when we have war in my country. For two years i thought my parents were kiled. Thank God, they survived but lost everything. I got married and have one child, unfortunately my marriage did not last. As an African in the US, I have my own experiences with discrimination. I always like to help when there is a need . I have provided care for free. It is always good to give than to receive. When love is giving or share from the heart the reward from God is greater.

What are your personality traits or expertise that help you be a great caregiver.

I am a happy carefree person with over 15 years of experience. I enjoy helping people maintain and recover there self worth when thier health is in question. I am a detailed listener and enjoy being close to the people that I have had the privilege of aiding.

My name is Annette I've worked with special needs kids for 10 plus yrs.I do have my high school diploma. I was a nurse's assistant for the Oxnard School District & for the city of Oxnard. I did everything from changing cathiders, helping kids with diabetes, changing pouches or emptying them out, changing diapers ect. They were kids from grade K through Jr. High. Now I work witj elderly people for a company called Trusted family care. I do everything for them to make their lives as easy as possible for them. Iam a medical assistant i do have my certificate to give injections & phlebotomy I do have my CPR & first aid & i do have CPI units. I love what I do also have units in phycology in child development so i do have lots of experience in both kids & the elderly I also have my TB test wich is negative. I also have experience in hospice I was helping nurse for my great grandma which was on hospice until she passed also for my aunt as well so I do have lots of experience. I would prep meals, give meds, bath her & do light cleaning which I do now with my job now ai work in TO but I'm jus looking for something closer to home . I also have my EKG certificate.

I am caring and understanding. I enjoy giving personal care to the elderly because they cannot fend for themselves and need a lot of warm care. I do it because I feel it's my calling, and I like to help them. I am proud to be able to learn from them, from the wisdom about life.

I work School district for 2 years now with students handicapped within having siblings with conditions. Also, taking care of my father now 5 years of his mental health condition Schzophrenia. I learned how difficult it can be to manage the varying needs of children in diverse stages of development. I honed the ability to care for each child individually, while paying close attention to the needs of the group.I take safety extremely seriously, and am trained and certified in childhood first-aid and CPR. Great care giver I have compassion honest caring for people. Have helped a few people, Mrs Barnes passed out called ambulance for her was in hospital 5 days. Went to hospital with her until her Family arrived which was 3 hours.
