Hello a little about me !! I am an outgoing wife of an amazing man and also a mother of 2 amazing elementary aged children. I consider my self to be forward thinking and outgoing. I became a caregiver in 2021 after my mother and I noticed a deep need for staff during the COVID-19 pandemic. I have always been close with senior members of my family so I felt a calling. I love spending time with my patients / clients. I love hearing about their families and lives. I truly enjoy a talkative client. My goal as your caregiver is to help you in any way I possibly can while maintaining a clean and safe environment. I am along for the journey what ever that may be .

My personality is very bubbly. Also very stubborn and I aim to reach my goals. I've been known to make sure to fully hydrate someone or finish their food. Unlike a lot of the people I work with I truthfully do care about my residents. To be honest I never wanted to be a caregiver when I started at my work I started as a dietary aide in the kitchen. Then I wasn't making enough money so I tried caregiving out, and I can honestly say I don't imagine myself doing anything else now. I have gotten in countless arguments with other care staff members for not treating the residents how they deserve to be treated. I've argued with my bosses I've argued with a lot of people due to the lack of care I've seen my residents get. It's incredibly cliche but helping people really does make a difference to me. I've been bit, slapped, punched, kicked, pushed, etc. I've seen it all and I've experienced it all and I cannot say that I've gotten angry or upset with my residents at all. I don't believe that I shouldn't get attached to someone at an older age because they are going to die soon. I believe that those are the years in somebody's life that should count and should matter. I'm extremely grateful for having been honored enough to experience Alzheimer's/dementia because it has given me a whole different type of respect for somebody at that age. When I'm at work there's nothing that makes me happier than to see someone whose so confused or so upset become happy by something I say or do. It has made me into a strong woman and it has helped me just become better in a lot of different aspects.
