Having worked in various health care professions, I find it a passion of mine to work with our elderly senior populations. I have both professional and personal experience working with loved ones who may be suffering from Diabetes, requiring assistance with meal preparations, running errands, and providing positive companionship with someone who suffers from Dementia & Alzheimer's Disease. I am proud to say that I am an honorable person who truly cares about anyone they work with, and I will always treat all individuals I provide care for as if they are my own family.

My name is Zoe, and I have been working as a caregiver since I was 19 years old. I supported myself through my Bachelor's program, my Master's program, and our current global pandemic by caring for several high-risk quadriplegic clients with many medical, physical, and social needs. My Master's thesis and the focus of my Master's in healthcare administration program included a great deal of emphasis on promoting equity in healthcare, specifically for minority populations. I have worked with clients young and old, transgender and cisgender, of many races, with a variety of disabilities. I became a caregiver because my grandmother got Dimensia and liked working with my grandmother. I worked with my grandmother for a year and a half. I also get the opportunity of working with Silverado Senior Living work with many people with many illnesses. I like working with elderly people. I was able to learn from the behavior that dimensia and alzheimers cause people to have. I like reading books and i am a christian.

I became a caregiver because I feel that the older population gets forgotten and I don't think it should be like that they're still part of our society and we should treat them like they matter. I have been working as a caregiver for about two years now I absolutely love it I connect very well with my residence. I am currently going to college to study psychology and I would like to enter a grad program that specializes in Alzheimer's and dementia and senior citizens. What I enjoy most about being a caregiver is been able to connect with the resident learn about them and giving them a friend. A personal treatment of mine is being a first generation college student, been wanting to purchase two more than just my bachelors degree in the specific field.

I am currently an IHSS worker for the county of Santa Cruz (25 hrs per week) & Santa Clara (14 hours per week) My background has been checked and cleared by the state of California. I am a live-in caregiver. In addition to that I care for my mother in Santa Clara County 14 hours a week and work 4 hours a week in a Convalescent Hospital. I'm a very happy and patient person and I love being a caregiver. My live-in client has become verbally and physically abusive towards me and other members of her family. I am looking to replace that position.
