I make jokes and sometimes sing and dance for my patients. I know that the situation they are in can sometimes be bleak, so I want to distract and keep people company. I like to hear about their life stories and wonder what they did before retiring. This is the aspect that drew me into becoming a caregiver. When I was working in nursing homes, I was so amazed that I could come in and make a difference in so many people's lives. I am fully dedicated to making people happy and comfortable, because life is so short and we should make the best of it while we can.

I love my job! I have been taking care of elderly patients for 10+ years and consider it a rewarding career to be able to help families and care for seniors. My employers would say that I am hard-working, honest, reliable and professional. I do not sit still and I work with my clients and their families to create an engaging and active care plan. I joined Carelinx because I am relocating to Branford, CT from California to be near my daughter. All of my previous positions have been through word-of-mouth referrals. I have experience working with clients who have dementia, M.S., arthritis, Parkinson's, cancer and mobility issues. Female clients preferred. Hello my name is Antoinetta 22 years of ages, I started to become a care giver at 18 years old, I work now at a care home at S&G Valley Guest home with elderly men. What makes me a great caregiver is that i like helping people in general , people are so fun and cool to be around. I became a caregiver because i have brothers who have mental ill problems and i love helping and learning things about people who are in need of assistance. What do i like being a caregiver is the love you get from my clients ,they are all different and they teach me new things everyday. Since i been a caregiver i learned to have patients , excepting different behaviors and understanding why they have them and helping the, become better people. A personal achievement i am proud of is when my care home received a new client and none of the other care homes wanted him and i told my boss that we should take him because he needs a chance and so she did. For the first three months he gave us problems but we never gave up on him , i would play games , take him , talk with him when he was down and now he's a better person we have a great relationship also with with other staff. He keeps me laughing at work there is never a duel moment at work.

I became a caregiver because I honestly love caring for people and giving back to them. Why not give back when the elderly have done so much for our generation? I truly love what I do, I feel like this is my calling, to help people and assist them in their everyday needs. I am a very passionate person in what I do, You will not be disappointed! :)

My first goal was to become a nurse because I love to help and take care of sick people. For some reason I ended up to become an accountant. In 2008 my mother got sick, so I personally took care of her. Also, my late aunt owned a care facility so I did some volunteer works. At that time, I realized that even if was not able to pursue a nursing degree, I could still serve and help people. Last year, I started working as a full time and part time caregiver. My patients were grateful and happy for the services I gave them.

Hello! I am a friendly and hardworking person, I love to help others. I have been a CNA for almost 8 years and I have experience in all kind of cares. I enjoy working with elderly because they are just so enjoyable to work with. In a sense, I have been the "family" Caregiver for decades. Whenever anyone was chronically ill in our close-knit family become ill, they asked for my help. I believe it has to do with my ability to be very a compassionate, thoughtful, skilled CNA. As a CNA, I feel it is a privilege to be able to help my patients achieve their highest level of well-being and that is what I strive for, with each person I meet throughout my day. I would consider this my greatest achievement. Having cared for both my parents tenderly & lovingly for many years, I decided this was my role in life. To help people who could not help themselves. Now, having formalized CNA training I am better equipped to help people to feel their physical, mental and emotional optimum well-being is personally rewarding for me. I am 23 years old, and currently enrolled in a Speech Pathologist Assistant Program at Delta College in Stockton, Ca. I became a caregiver two years ago, and am very fond of the work I do. It is such an amazing feeling to go home every day knowing I have helped residents not only feel great about themselves, but with the daily tasks of living. I also helped the seniors to have exercises routine, speech therapy, reading, arts and other recreational activities. I believe that I have a lot to offer, I have raised five children and have had the opportunity to care for other children in the childcare profession. I have been blessed to care of foster children as well. Years ago I was able to take classes in Geriatrics and it gave me a better understanding of the aging process, along with being able to better care for my parents, which have no passed.
