My name is Christina Lopez. I have been a caregiver for 10 plus years. I am very compassionate and love to help the elderly continue to be independent as much as they can in their own home. I have always loved helping others and enjoy spending my time with elderly. They always have such great stories from their life experiences. I was with my last patients for 7 years. In that time I grew to love them very much as if they were my own grandparents.

The thing I enjoy most about being a caregiver is the look on my clients face of the satisfaction that I can provide for them.

I enjoy helping others. I am friendly yet professional, caring, honest, dependable, I have integrity. I believe that everyone deserves dignity in their care and I believe that family caregivers also need breaks. It doesn't make one weak to ask for help it makes you stronger. It is an opportunity to recharge your batteries. Caring for children with special needs can also be very taxing on the family unit and they need that moment to recharge. That is why I offer respite care. I was a CNA for 3 years and have been a respite provider/caregiver for nearly 4 years and I am now in my second semester of the Nursing program at VVC. I am a Navy veteran and mom of four. I am originally from TX and moved to CA in 2012. I love people and animals. I enjoy connecting with new people and can pretty much get along with anyone. I am unsure of anything else you want to know but I am an open book so please ask.

I have so much patience in working with the elderly, I am always ready for a challenge and ready for difficult situations. I can take you to Doctors office. Run erands, light house keeper. Help manage Medications. Take vitals, walk and help with animals. Prepare meals, help with Bathing and Bathroom. I am a great caregiver because I enjoy the conversation, I am likeable, enjoy the companionship, helping others, caring, and I possess the natural empathetic/sympathetic aspects. What attracted me was at first the need for a job but it very quickly became an enjoyable experience for not only myself but the client. I like talking to the client the most. Hi there! I have been been an experienced caregiver now for 10 years.

I am a 24 years old and full of life I love being able to provide companionship to someone and being able to help families with their loved ones. I started care giving when I was helping my great grandmother at home and I loved being able to provide stable care for her and making sure she was very well taken care of. I'm most proud of learning so much about care giving and the experience I've had that has shaped me into being great at caring for others. I've been doing this for about 4 years and have even taken my education with taking care of other in medical assisting school.

Somethings come naturally, and caring for children and the elderly seems natural for me. The years prior to my parents passing away, I worked a full time job and still helped take care of my parents. I spent weekend and evening with them. There were no regrets after they passed. What I enjoy the most about caregiving is the pleasure it gives the person I'm helping, and the good feeling I get assisting them. I know both my parents were proud, happy and relieved to be able to have stayed at home until they died. We are a close knit family and that is why I started helping my Aunt and a family friend once my parents passed and I became retired. My daughter is an RN and my son owns his own excavation company. I have six grandchildren, 5 girls and 1 boy. The boy was the last :) I live in a 4 tenement house that originally belonged to my grandparents, then my parents and now my brother owns it. 17yrs ago I moved back to Adams after living in California for 20 yrs. One of the apartments was available so I decided to not buy another house, and just live in the apartment next door to my parents. I had a baby monitor in my parents bedroom and in my bedroom so if they needed me during the night, they could just "yell", which my Mom did often because she could no longer walk on her own. Both my children live on the same street as I do, which makes it nice. I moved back to the Berkshires just in time to enjoy my parents last years before passing.
