I'm a very reliable and hard working that loves my job! All of my life I love to help people so I went back to school and got my CNA and Home Aid Assistance so I know that I'm trained and qualified to meet any specific care needs that a resident or patient may need.

Hello, I am a 46 year old female. I have 12 years + of experience taking care of the elderly. Taking care of others that can not take care of themselves has been my gift in life since a fairly young age. I enjoy working different types of individuals Including those with disabilities. I have been a Licensed Vocational Nurse for over 16 years ,I have always worked in the hospital setting,typically on a daily base I assist those patients that need help with their ADL's ,it's a requirement to attend LIFT classes so I also know body mechanics .I have also had the opportunity to work as a nurse for private patients attending to all of their needs and care at home. I chose to offer my services as caregiver because I love working with people,I feel I can be great help to those that are in need. I also drive and can assist with providing assistance when doctor visit arise. 16 years hospital work can be tired some on one,so I feel I need this ,I need to feel that I am doing for others what I'm best and love doing and that's caring.Currently I'm available 2or 3 days a week,my primary job schedule fluctuates,so I am looking for work where I can be of assistance on a as need base depending on my availability for that week. After I graduated earning my counseling degree I needed to take my two years internship to get my license. That's fine except they want me to do it for free. Well, I couldn't let that happen so I decided to go back to what I do best which is my caregiving job. I became real good at it and enjoy it very much so I decided to continue to do it! I went back to school to get my CNA, HHA, RNA and my CPR certifications along with my licenses. I found my niche and I intend to make this as my career. I'm very dependable, punctual, very detail oriented, bubbly, a people person and with a very positive attitudes. Here is a little bit about me: I graduated from high school with a 4.0 and was in the health academy where I received my CNA license at the age of 17. I worked shortly as a CNA right out of high school, but then decided to go another career route. I went to college and got my Bachelor's Degree in Sociology. The work experience I gained from working as a CNA helped me a lot with family situations as well. I stopped working for a long time to homeschool my 3 children but now that they are getting older, it allows for me to go back to the workforce as they don't need as much guidance for me as they use to. My oldest is a senior in high school and the youngest is in the 6th grade. Simultaneously, I have been working part time as a Preferred Respite Caregiver for my handicap nephew who has epilepsy. He is bed ridden and cannot do anything on his own, and cannot see nor talk. I still currently help my sister part time. Although, I never renewed my CNA license, I still have continued to be a caregiver and have my first aid and CPR certification recently renewed and valid for the next 2 years, along with my certification on sexual harassment training.
