Throughout my time as a CNA I learned many valuable skills; toileting, changing colostomy bags, oral hygiene, bathing, companionship and administering medication. I've learned how to be very cautious, alert and attentive. I am a person that is trustworthy, respectful, kind and caring to people of all ages, race and religion. I speak and write fluently in English and Spanish.

I'm very patient, kind, quick thinking. Being a companion/caregiver is very rewarding.

After that I was doing in home care, and started training for my medial assistant certification. This is more then a job, it is a passion. I became a caregiver because it is something I have always enjoyed. I have had an opportunity to work with all various ages and background and happy to say that I have learned a lot and still learning everyday. I like the relationship you build with the resident as well as just talking and getting to know their history, their story. I am proud to have receiving my certification. I am an ambitious goal driven strong minded lady who loves to work and get her feet wet in different specialty areas. Im currently in school to be getting my Medical Assistant certification/degree for next year April 2015. Then after I have goals to get my LPN which is a 10 month program. I eventually would like to be in a small doctors office or in a hospital setting to work with individuals.

I enjoy helping others. I was a HHA in 1996 and enjoyed meeting the client and also their family's. I especially enjoyed working in the Hospice part of the VNA. I worked as a HHA for approximately two years at the VNA. Four years ago , I took care of my mother in my home while she was ill/terminal. Taking care of my mother gave me great courage and strength and a feeling of satisfaction. I am in the process of retraining to receive my certificate for CNA once again and look forward to working again in this very special field of work. I am professional and diplomatic. I have the ability to prioritize, multitask, maintain confidentiality, excellent interpersonal skills and proper etiquette.

I graduated as a medical assistant and left with a phlebotomy license as well. I am passionate about helping people and would love to develop new skills.

I became a caregiver because i enjoy helping other people. What i live about being a care giver is bonding with the person i am taking care of. Building a relationship with one another. A personal achievement i'm proud of is making as far as i have today. Something about myself is that i went to school for Phlebotomy and CNA and i have great communication skills.

I am dedicated hard working & reliable. My grandmother was in need of care & I was able to help. My grandmother told me not a lot of people can do that kind of work with tenderness and care & that she new people in our church who needed someone like me. I stared volunteering & enjoyed it so much I decided that this job was for me. I got employee of the month at Home instead senior care. I love animals & being outside & driving.

What would make me a great caregiver is that enjoy working with people and making sure they're highly satisfied. I love learning new things when I have to get a job done. I'm friendly , multitasker, can cook, and very motivated. What attracted to be a caregiver is my grandma I would like someone to be as caring as I am for her for anyone else. What I enjoy about being a caregiver is that sometimes you learn things from those that are older then you with some history before you were born or even some knowledge in life . My personal achievement in life is to be the best I can be and make whoever i take care of feel comfortable and safe.

I have a lot of respect and compassion for all patients being able to gain their trust, and My desire to give full personal care and support needed. I like that I have the opportunity to do what I do best which is to make the patient comfortable, clean, meals, medication if needed, and that the family member have peace of mine by allowing me to care for their family. I retired after 20 yrs in another profession, I am all about family and I am very reliable individual.
