I am a great caregiver because I am really friendly and I keep a smile on my clients faces. I became a caregiver because I love to help people who aren't capable of doing certain things on their own. One thing that I like about being a caregiver is building a friendship with my clients because some clients don't have family or friends who visits them often so I feel like when I conversate with them it brightens up my clients day.

I became a caregiver because of my mom she took care of people her whole life and I wanted to follow her lead. I really love meeting and helping people it makes me feel like I have a purposeful career. Im very proud of the fact that I am so good at making a scared person feel at ease around me. I've been a caregiver for as long as I can remember it was my first job. I've always loved caring for others becoming a part of a village in taking care of someone has always been my passion. When I was a child my grandfather was diagnosed with Alzheimer's/ Dementia he soon needed a 24hr aid, who was amazing. She was apart of my inspiration. Watching her care for my Grandfather the way she did was unexplainable. Years passed I reached the age I was able to be his caregiver so I took that role on like no other. I took care of him for 3years alongside being a caregiver to another patient. The best part of being a caregiver is seeing just how happy a patient gets to see you, because they grew to love you. Its my goal to be that support to be the calm during the storm for a patient.

I feel empowered knowing I made someone's day, just alone with my presence. I began my caregiving days over 7 years ago when my grandmother needed care.
