I didn't choose to become a caregiver, it chose me. As a young child my mother had a stroke and I was in charge of making sure she took the meds in her cup. Helping her made me feel proud and I Iiked being apart of the recovery process. Fast forward to high school and I enrolled in the CNA program. I passed my MD state boards in 1997. Since that time I've gained experience in the hospital and nurising home setting. Most of my employment has been as a private sitter. I statrted out first with a home health company. I branched out on my own in 2005. Since then I have served several private clients. I truly love what I do and consider it my passion!

I am an outgoing person everyone tends to love me because of my personality. I grasp on to people faster than others. I'm a good hearted person and I like to see everyone doing good. What attracted me to being a care giver I took care of my aunt for 2 years before she passed she couldn't walk or do nothing on her own so I moved in with her and took care of her even when I was pregnant. She died a hour before my son was born. So I know what it takes and you have to have patience. I love interacting with people you learn something knew from different people everyday. My personal achievement I'm proud of is that I'm 20 I have two kids my own car and my own house and did it all on my own.

When it comes to nursing especially as a caregiver it comes natural to me. I grew up around nurses my whole life. When I was a little girl and to this day I have always enjoyed taking care of others and to make others feel better mentally, physically, emotional, spiritual. I became a caregiver because I wanted experience while I am going to school to become a Nurse. What I like about being a caregiver is making that difference in someone's day and knowing that they get the best of care when I take care of them.
