My name is Shontaya and I am junior in college studying criminal justice. I became a caregiver because I love to care for others and help those in need and are unable to help themselves. Being surrounded by my grandparents my entire life I have a love for the elderly and I enjoy caring for them. I am great at what I do because not only do I make sure my clients are cared for, I treat them like family I build a bond with them that lasts and goes far beyond being just a job. I am very outgoing, a people person, I'm caring, a nurturer all which help me carry out my jobs and make me a great caregiver. The thing I enjoy most about this field is the opportunity to meet so many different people, interact and form a bond which I'm able to learn new things,

I love caring for individuals who can no longer care for themselves. I find great pleasure in being the support systems of my clients whom eventually become my family.

I would consider myself a good caregiver because I have patience to adjust with the changes of a person that I am caring for, whether it is mood or behavioral changes. I am a good listener and I find joy in taking care of others.

I love working with people I always wanted to become a nurse when I was a child when santa ask of me when I set in his lap and ask of me what I wanted to be when I grew up I stated a nurse as you know growing up other careers but god had other plans for me I always return to nursing this is my calling I work in medical , live it, I have lost a great deal of family and friends my calling is nursing and I am greatful
