I became a caregiver because I enjoy being around elderly. I lost my great grand mother whom I was very close to a few years back and every since I have always loved to help older people. It kind of fills a void in my life. What I like about being a caregiver is being able to help someone and talk to them to just let them know that you have someone who cares and wants to listen to whatever it is excites them. A personal achievement I am proud of is I finally got myself back in school to become one step closer to my goal of starting my own medical billing and coding business. What do you enjoy most about being a caregiver

I have worked in law-enforcement on patrol for 15 years. I gave it up six years ago and went part time to stay home with my children. Most agencies I worked for had a volunteer first(medical) responders so I was most likely the first one there and I felt I was helpful. My biggest accomplishment has been staying home with my two children. I also recently lost my father, Taking care of him and his illness for two years I would also consider an accomplishment. It would give me great satisfaction to be a caregiver and I believe I am a loving and caring person to be able to help a loved one take care of their, loved one. My children are now in school full-time and I have the time and ambition.

I like to maintain the client's dignity, while assisting them thru their daily living. All client know me as a caring, respectful, generous. I enjoy meeting clients and their family and learning from their wisdom. I became a caregiver after my husband needed help with bad back surgery and helping family with their daily needs.

I am compassionate with the elderly and I became a caregiver because of my mother-in-law, how her 3 sons put her in a nursing home and she had nobody to care for her the right way.
