My name is Julia, and I am a student at USF with a passion to help others. I have cared extensively for my own family members, along with outside cliental. I understand personally the struggle a family may feel due to health declination among parents, grandparents, or life-long friends. With the experience that I have gained from both my personal and professional life, I am able to ensure premium quality care while providing companionship and friendship. I use to go to work with my Grandmother when she was a caregiver. We would go to ALFs or people's homes and she would cook and ensure their basic needs were met. 1. I became a Caregiver because I can not think of any other job career that is important to society today. In addition, I love, the helping profession.. 2. As a Caregiver, it gives me satisfaction when the client gets his/her needs met. 3. A personal achievement that I am proud of is completing my Masters degree. 4. I hold a Bachelor of Social Work and a Master of Human Services. I will be returning to college September 2015 to pursue a License Clinical Social Work degree.

I am a caregiver because I believe that everyone deserves the right to live their best life regardless of age or income. I enjoy being in different environments and new situations. I also like the one on one interaction more than small group interaction. I have helped tutor and mentor kids for over 15 years. Reading is my favorite past time and I would like to write a book one day.

I am seeking little side jobs where I can help the elderly in need of care. I currently work with disabled Veterans at the VA. I assist Veterans with ADLs and restorative therapies in hopes to help them reach their highest level of independence with ADLs as possible. I have always have found happiness caring for those who are not able to care for themselves. I took nursing in college, and have over a hundred classroom hours regarding patient care. I will provide my own equipment upon request, free of charge, for basic healthcare monitoring. Free check of blood pressure, heart rate, and vitals with every appointment. I am BLS, CPR, and AED certified. My certifications are current, and were renewed in 2021. I am National CPR Foundation certified. I currently have completed college courses pertaining to the medical field, such as medical terminology for health professionals, anatomy and physiology, ethics in nursing, sociology, psychology, development across the lifespan, nutrition, and drug abuse for health professionals. Being able to make a difference in the lives of others is something that I have always been passionate about. The love of caring for others prompted me to seek out additional education in which I am currently enrolled as a nursing student at FAU. Hello my personal experience that got me started in caregiving and companionship, are through family members that I have taken care of and found it was a fulfilling moment to help out in massive ways for them.
