I started out as an home health aid in 1992 after I had to help take care of my terminally ill grandfather. I eventually became a c.n.a and now I am pursing my nursing degree. Helping others is a rewarding experience that I thoroughly enjoy doing. I have worked in all type of health care settings but I like home care the most because of the personal relationship that is established with my clients,

I became a caregiver because a family member got sick. The people who the agency put in my home didn't make me feel like they enjoy providing care. The look in my patient's eye when they know I do care. I am attending school for nursing. I took the first steps. I am a mother of three. I believe you should treat people the way you want to be treated.

I'm a very loving person, I love helping people. I love seeing smiles on their face because it brings a smile on my face. I treat people the way ,I want to be treated.

I am a 22-year-old student enrolled at Georgia State University. My current major is Early Childhood Development. I plan to take my degree and open up my own daycare. That's my number one goal in life. I love children without them we have no future. Being one of seven children motivates me to achieve my goals at a more rapid rate.

Losing my dad to dementia back in 2002 was devastating.I have often cared for family members and parents of close friends over the years, but my father having dementia was a game changer for me. I've never really gotten over it. I bring to the table compassion and love. You cannot adequately care for another human being without a heart full of love. I treat each and every patient like I want my own loved ones to be treated. My daddy did not get the care he needed and deserved, he was in a hospital and was neglected and passed away three days after aspirating on food he was eating unsupervised. I was 8 months pregnant and couldn't be there all the time. I want to give your loved one what my dad didn't get. I know it's really, really hard to deal with parents and loved ones being ill and I am here to help. I just love them and try to keep them smiling!

I am very outgoing, caring and trustworthy, but most of all I'm am very Passionate caring and helping for others. My grandfather steered me into helping and caring for anyone with disabilities, when he became blind and couldn't help himself. I enjoy seeing the joy I bring to the ones I help, just being with them to help out, clean or cook or just simple as playing a game of bingo can make anyone happy. I love what I do, I love to see smiles on ones face by giving a helping hand.

Well for starters, treating your family likes its my own is what makes me a great caregiver. Originally what got me started is my mother, she was the director of nursing of a assistant living facility when i was younger and I would always go to work with her and help out and keep the residents company. They loved just as much as I did.

I've been taking care of the elderly since I was young when my aunt was diagnosed with a chronic illness and she can down to Atlanta to stay with us. Taking care of people generally has always been something I've been good at I'm very patient person with a great attitude who really care about people

I became a caregiver when my grandmother got sick and died of cancer. She had two great caregivers who l just loved. They loved and my granny until she died I like being a caregiver because it gives me a fulfilling feeling of giving back to people who are disadvantaged either through health or age. I come from a country where the elderly people are taken care of by family members, so this concept of a different culture here has been a fascination to me. The whole idea of caring for someone who is not related to you in any way yet love them dearly makes me appreciate other people's cultures.

Hi everyone, My name is Joy and I stay in Conyers. I chose to become a caregiver because I love helping others and I felt like being a caregiver would give me the opportunity to make a difference in people's lives. I have finished CNA training and I'm eligible to take the CNA state exam on February 20th to obtain my CNA license. I'm also CPR/First Aid certified. My career goal is to be a registered nurse so this is the perfect opportunity to get my feet wet in the medical field. 1. I became a Caregiver because I wanted to help people who couldn't help them self. I wanted to make a different in there life someone my patients can depend on. 2. I like knowing someone really is taking care and happy because I helped. 3. A personal achievement I'm proud of its college. This is my first semester of college and I'm majoring in RN. 4. I'm 26 I've been a CNA at Anchor Hospital for three years and I have a 2 year old daughter.

I am a pre-nursing major at Georgia State University. I am taking the next step in my life and in my career by becoming a CNA. For the past 8 years I have been a caregiver for children while going to school for business. As I start in the health field I would like to provide quality care companionship and kindness for the families or family that I am with as I have done in the past.

I became a care giver because my parent made it a part of my life. Growing up with many younger siblings, I had the opportunity to take care of my younger siblings. Care giving is a part of my life and I love it. What I love about care giving is the opportunity to be able to offer help and take care of people. This gives me a sense of fulfillment. I am proud of the fact that everywhere I work, I always have the opportunity to put smiles on the faces of my clients. Seeing them smile always gives me joy, and that joy is what keeps me going. Im a 36 year old wife and mother of 4, I have worked as a caregiver, Companion, and Housekeeper for over 20 years. I truly love Assisting and being there for my elderly community. My Mother owned two Personal care homes in Dekalb County Ga and I've trained under her since I was 14 years old I have learned A lot about caring not only for the elderly but mental health clients as well. I have seen all the love that's in caregiving. Being a wife and mother is my greatest achievements.
