I became a caregiver because my great great grandmother was very sick and I had to help my Grandmother take care of her. I've been a caregiver every since then. I took care of my great grandmother before she passed and help my aunt recover after her cancer.I love being a caregiver because I like to see patient happy and enjoying themselves. i try my best to make patients as comfortable as possible.

I was raised by my dad and the military. He was always full of life, but when he had a heart attack and later found out that he had hereditary liver cancer he slowly became in need of assistance. I was the only one that he trusted. I took care of him until the day he passed. I later moved to NM and became very close friends with an Army Veteran and his family. He designated me to his power of attorney before his surgery. The survey didn't go as planned and he was hospitalized for 2 months most of the time in ICU. I took care of him in the hospital and after returning home. I also was his brothers care giver after being injured.

My name is Megan Simmons and I have been a caregiver for two years now. I have a passion for working with the elderly and helping people out in general. I was a substitute teacher for about a year and realized working with the elderly was my niche. The one thing I enjoy most about being a caregiver is knowing that I have the potential to make a difference in someone's life.

I became a caregiver because I was raised by my grandmother and when she beame ill I was the one who took care of her until her death. I like being a caregiver especially to the elderly because they have great stories about their lives. My personal achievement I am proud of is serving in the United States Army. I am a single woman who have worked in some form of caregiving. I am a Certified Nurse Assistant who looks forward to seeing my residents. My grandmother always told me I have an old soul. I am available to start immediately. I am responsible, empathetic, caring, loving. I will cook, clean, run errands, bath, groom, whatever they need.
