Hi my name is Jazzmere and I've been a certified nurse assistant for 8 plus years. I got into the field because I like helping people and also I have family members in the nursing field. I do have a personal connection with being a caregiver, I took care of my grandfather who was battling Parkinson's disease. I took care of him in his final days here on earth and made him as comfortable as possible. I miss him very much. Besides being a caregiver, I enjoy spending time with my family and especially my 5 year old son. He is the most important person to me. If I'm not spending time with family I'm in school part time pursuing my nursing degree.

Hello, my name is Heather I have been doing homecare for 16 years working both privately and through agencies. I became a caregiver for those that need help staying as independent and comfortable as possible in there own home without having to go into a nursing home or other facility. During my years of being a caregiver you never know what your day to day task will be. You take one day at a time and go with it. I love helping people especially when you get a response without you I don't know where I would be. Not everyone who represents themselves as caregivers are actually a caregiver there are in it for the money which is awful to say but is very true. It takes a compassionate person to be a caregiver, you are leaving the life of your loved ones in there hands. During my 16 years of caregiving, I went back to school and became a certified nursing assistant in which Ive been for 14 years. I'm certified in both Illinois and Indiana. I have a clean background up to date cpr card. I not only have experience with home care, but also have nursing home, rehab, assisted living, hospice and hospital experience.

My mom told me when I was a child, I climbed into the lap of another child in a wheel chair and shared my ice cream with him! He had Down syndrome and no one played with him; I was only 3 or 4! I've always had a caring heart, genuinely! I care for the elder population because there is a lack thereof! Wisdom, the fact that life is blissful and no filter is what drives me to care for my elder patients! They help me to be the best me without a care because although we could be old in years, life waits for no one! So I appreciate the small things like a smile and a thank you! They go such a long way with me! I am a certified nursing assistant and medical assistant, so I have worked with doctors and nurses to achieve satisfactory patient care! I don't have much experience in a nursing home or hospital but I know what it takes to be loving, caring and passionate as well as helpful.

I come from a family of caregivers and was trained well to do my job as you can see from my 35+ years of experience. My name is Kadejah Nathan and I'm a young, dedicated mother and worker. I have this gift of helping and caring for others. My motivation cames from when I was a young teen and my mother was older, and she couldn't do much for herself. She was always tired, and often became helpless to her everyday needs. I became the person who helped her and supported her. Things that I made sure of, was that she ate, she took her medication, bathe and groomed her, helped her to the washroom etc.. Anything she needed I was there without any hesitation. That goes for any family I worked for/work with. I became truly dedicated to my job! After she had surgery it made it even harder for her to do things; and that gave me the desire to wat to care for people, more tha just my mother. Now that i'm a lot older im going for my CNA certificate, infact i'll be done I another 2 weeks which is really exciting for me. Being a caregiver comes with lots support, respect, dedication, manners and patients rights as a U.S citizen. I am a self-motivated young adult and I am willing too do my best to make sure that the care senior gets treated with quality care, right protection ad saftey protection. The things I enjoy the most about being a caregiver is that you get to meet new people, people that you can connect with, people you can help for the better of there health, Being with a family that trust you, respect you, and enjoy you being around.
