I became a caregiver at the age of 17 while I was still in High School, I became a STNA where I worked in a nursing home and also went on to provide care for MRDD individuals living in a residential setting. I have always had a passion for helping those in need and it is one of my long term goals to do in the future as I would like to someday establish my own centers in assisting those that need help.

I am a great caregiver because my clients are not just those old people; they are me in 40 more years, those beautiful ladies could be my mom, strokes don't have an age limit these days so why should my ability to care for others. Of course, I have bills like the next person so I have to work. More importantly, I love my job so much that I want to work.

I have a passion for serving people out of a labor of Love. My heart is very compassionate towards the elderly. My best achievement was overcoming difficult seasons of my life and coming out as a better person with a softer heart.

I am a 35 year old male that has been working with geriatric clients with different forms of dementia. I began working as a private caregiver after my daughter passed away with the intentions in working in pediatrics or neonatal. I am currently attending school for my BSN and plan to finish in 2016. I have 4 boys from 13 years old down to 7 months and enjoy spending time with them.

I've assisted with the care of both of my grandmothers when I was just a teenager. Both required medication reminders, food preparation, housekeeping, dressing and most importantly; companionship. I work well with others, especially with senior citizens and the elderly because I know they need specific assistance. I can empathize with them and am more patient than most people are. I find peace in helping elderly people, because it reminds me of my grandmothers.

I became a caregiver because I have a passion for helping others in the healthcare sector. My education and work experience have always been geared towards that goal. Seeing the joy and the smile on the faces of my clients as a caregiver gives me joy and satisfaction. It is an accomplishment to be able to help put a smile or give comfort to someone.

I am a amazing care giver because I have a genuine love for people and I adore helping others in need.
