Love to be around seniors, just listening to them. I had the opportunity to care for a 87 year old for 6 years. Saw the need to help and did. Enjoy getting the seniors to and from their doctors appointments. I have been doing this for the last few years.

What attracted me to being an caregiver is I have always care for the elderly. You will always learn something new from them. A lot of the elderly don't have family or people that can come visit them. I love to sit and talk with them and to listen to them. It's things that they can longer do for themselves and I feel so helpful when I can help them with what they just can't do anymore.

Being doing customer service for over 15 years and caregiving for over 10...I love having a schedule or a routine and people who need assistance need that.....I am big on multitasking and being active..Most of my achievements come from helping patients with physical therapy and getting back to their regular life.

I love caring for others. I took care of my 94 year old grandmother who had dementia until she passed last October. I was caring for her throughout her over 10 year battle with Dementia. I am currently assisting with taking care of my mother-in-law who has stage 3 breast cancer. It was my love for my grandmother who raised me that attracted me to caregiving. What I enjoy the most is just being able to help others who may be unable to care for themselves or just need a little assistance. I am very proud that I was able to care for my grandmother and show her just an ounce of the love she showed me all my life.

When I first became a caregiver I was 18 years old and now I'm 21. I have learned so much and I am so proud of myself because I did something that caused me to step out my comfort zone. I enjoy seeing the smiles and talking to the consumers, the stories they tell are just so heart warming. I first became a caregiver because I thought it was a easy job but now it's so much more it's good for them the consumers to know that they have a listening ear and someone they can call on. The things that help me be a great caregiver is that I'm always on time, I'm always right beside the consumer, I'm always there to take care and no one will ever have to worry about anything happening. I've omg been doing this for two year but in those two year I've learned so much and I'm ready to learn more. I am CPR certified, I know what to if someone is have a seizure, and I know if someone has had a stroke.

I love to converse and watch old TV shows. I love dogs!!
