It was a given since I was young what I would do as when I got older. My mother got very sick when I was 9 yrs old, so being the oldest child I had to jump in and help out my Dad with caring for my brother and sister. When I realized people got paid for caring for others I was thrilled. After several yrs in the field I knew it was my niche in life, what God had created me to do. With most of my patients I become part of their family and they are part of mine. I have taken care of patients with dementia, Alzheimer's, Parkinson's disease, diabetes, cancers and broken bones. I have worked daily, lived in and respite care. I do light housekeeping, cook meals, help with hygiene, and med management. I am very proud of the fact I have never been fired from by.any of my patients or their family. My patients usually pass on or their family feel like it would be best if they are put in a home specializing in their specific needs.

Because I love human & I'm very caring I learn a lot & I offer a lot to the elderly assisting them with their chores Because at the end of the day I put smile on their faces and also help them reach their goals. I'm 29 years from Africa. Working with the elderly has always been my thing, and also I have 2 brothers.

Being a caregiver has been pretty much my whole life. Ever since I can remember maybe around the age of 14 I was helping my grandparents recover from strokes, breast cancer and a colostomy. Since a young girl I have enjoyed taking care of others and rendering aid where there is need. I have been a provider/ caregiver since I was 19 and now I'm 28 years young with three girls on my own. I am now in college getting my degree in physical therapy and looking forward to not only caring and giving my patients one on one care but rehabilitating them further on after life's curveballs. Hi! I want to start this brief summary about myself off by saying that I have a very wonderful personality, I'm very friendly and very easy to get along with and I'm very understanding. What attracted me most into being a caregiver was that I watched my mom suffer with cancer and I took very good care of her and when she passed I just continued on wanting to care for other people who couldn't really do for themselves. I became a caregiver because I love to help people and also to help me get myself closer to my goal of being a nurse.
