I am a very loving and compassionate person who treat others how I would want to be treated. I love helping others and placing smailes on people faces. I enjoy everything I do in life because life is to short not to live like it's your last day.

I am a great caregiver because I naturally have an urge to help others. I have always placed a priority on helping other people. I want to make the world a better place and I do it with one home care patient at a time. I can be counted on to be there. Those needing home care services need a reliable and dependable caregiver. Trustworthy. Most people who need home care services are in a vulnerable position. They are inviting someone into their home. I am trustworthy. Flexible. I am also prepared to go with the flow, being flexible, even if a rigid schedule isn’t being followed. I have the ability to establish trust with clients and garner a supportive connection. I am a specialist with organization and setting up system that allow my clients to live an uncluttered existence. I am also a phenomenal HEALTHY cook! As a lifelong education (with three college degrees), I think it is important, as feasible, to connect clients to current events and encourage activities or exposure which would stimulate their senses. I first became interested in caregiving ten years ago when my grandmother came to live with me after a stroke. I cared for her until she passed after which my grandfather developed cancer from which he ultimately passed. I learned from the experience so much and through it formed a lifelong commitment to caring for others through their life challenges.

I became a care giver to provide companionship and care to people who did not have families close enough to offer them support and personal care in their time of need. I like being a care giver because it makes my clients smile and feel comforted when they know some one is there when they need them. I have demonstrated ability to assist cognitive functioning through various methods such as conversation and book reading. I have a high level of concentration and excellent caring skills which enable me to help my clients maintain mobility through light work and walking. I have hands on experience in helping clients with medication administration. Furthermore, I have great communication, customer service, and organizational skills.

I am very kind and compassionate. I used to take care of my grandpa and grandma and my latest client was Dr Paulita Reynoso. I took care of her for 5 years until she passed away.

I have worked as a caregiver in various roles, from special education to group homes, since I was 16 years old. Even when I took time off to be a mom, it was to raise an internationally adopted child who needed various therapies, etc. I am 56 years old now, and my wish is to secure a position caring for a person, or persons, who is/are older and/or have a disabling condition and wish to remain safely in their home and community. Let the young generation care for the children. Schools and education have changed so much, I find myself in need of a change, a different direction. I have a great deal of respect for, and patience with, older folks. Being "not so young" myself, I can understand the needs and wants of an aging person. I do not have a certification now, but I am more than willing to learn and acquire any certificate or skills necessary to carry out my tasks and to put family and friends at ease. I have a CT driver license and insurance. I am happy to say I have never received a ticket or been involved in an accident in all my years of driving. I do not smoke or drink at all. The only drugs I take are prescribed by my doctors. I am very familiar with animals, and comfortable with their care, as I am involved with rescue and rehabilitation of dogs and cats. I am passionate and enthusiastic about what I do. I love taking care of people. I became a care giver to be able to take care of people whose loved ones where far or stretched and needed an extra pair of hands. Meeting new people, getting to know them and being able to help them with their basic needs gives me satisfaction. One of my achievements was being able to care for a depressed client who after sometime started liking getting out of bed in the morning; I read to them and often took short walks with them. I began to care for the elderly back when i was a young teenager. I would go to different nursing homes and do volunteer work. My passion is to be able to help others, and i enjoy working with the elderly. My long-term goals is to be able to own a nursing home.

I came a caregiver because I like that fact I'm helping someone else rather just caring about me. I've always took care of people. It started off when I was 18 when I was caring for my Ill grandmother. I took care of her for 2 year's, before she left. Then I started working with kid's which was fun as well. I value my family above all aspects of life. Without them I wouldn't be who I am today.

I am a very loving and caring person I work in a residential facility now which I have for over ten years in the state of Virginia and many years prior in NYC I have a Masters degree in Education and counseling.
