I am patient, kind, and understanding with loads of compassion and a passion for working with folks that need caregiving assistance. I value every individual for who they are and where they are at. I work hard, but am also very sociable and friendly and enjoy the companionship aspect to caregiving. I have many years of caregiving experience working with folks with issues associated with aging, health issues, and some individuals who may have developmental disabilities or other challenges. If I would describe my personality I would say I am empathic, compassionate, wise, and patient. I have a nurturing and loving spirit, being of service to others and especially the vulnerable hold true to me. I am proud in pursuit for higher education. I am psych student so even in my caretaking I apply what I have learned about human mind and behavior.

I became a caregiver as a career move from high stress hospital administration to something more compatible with my nature. I have made it my career aspiration to care for the elderly. When one cannot do for oneself any longer, or any stage of compromise, I can come in to assist in their activities of daily life. If it were my life and I needed assistance, that's the kind of care I endeavor to deliver. I am proud of my ability to read the needs of people and articulate what they cannot. I recently had a hiking injury and at the present time will not escort folks around with a guiding hand under their arm. [I currently use a cane and/or walker for mobility.] HOWEVER ! My 9 years of being in the Healthcare industry has taught me a lot . Every time I look after my patients. I figure them to be my parents and I know that as we grow all our body organs tend to become tired and worn out. So every patient I see it's evident that they didn't choose to be in the situation but they found themselves there. Therefore I take care of them as if it were my parents. Am a CPR certified Instructor , medical trainer and with 9 years of caregiving .

Hello! I'm a former physician now residing in Marlboro Twp and I've been working in companion care for about 30 years. I've an easy going personality and punctual, reliable, and flexible. Given my med background, I've a very wide range of experience with senior care issues and what I don't know, I learn:) I cover housekeeping chores, laundry, transportation to and fro, errands, shopping and meals. etc. ( I actually attended culinary school a few years back and worked as a fine dining chef so I do excel with cooking) Overall, I engage your family member as much as possible and enjoy doing activities with them !
