I have been a private duty caregiver for 20+ years and can't think of anything I would rather do. I enjoy getting to know my patients and I find it very fulfilling to care for others that can no longer live alone. Over the years I have met some of the most wonderful people and their family's that entrust me with the care of their loved ones. We have established relationships that will last forever. I've worked side by side with hospice/Visiting Physicians in a home setting where my responsibilities include administering medications, PT/OT post surgeries, bathing, shopping and house keeping. I am a dedicated State Tested Nurse Aide (STNA/CNA) with over 15 years of experience as a caregiver and have provided care to individuals in different settings. I value integrity and compassion as key in pursuit of my career and strive to achieve this with the principle of treating people how you want to be treated. I started caregiving as part time while in college and it turned out to be a humbling and rewarding career for me. Humbling in way that it has made me to appreciate life, and rewarding for being a part of making someone's life better.

I am a CNA with more than ten years of experience working as a caregiver. I am a loving, honest, kind, reliable, dependable, and caring person. I enjoy caring for the people and help them to enrich their needs. I have cared for people with Dementia,/Alzheimer , Spinal cord injury, ALS, Parkinson's , Deabetic & cases that comes along with aging. I also cared for people with developmental disabilities and worked with children in a day care settings. Along with giving care I do light housekeeping, laundry, run errands and doctor's appointment. I am a happy patient person who loves her life and doing for others. I love animals, I enjoy looking at pictures and learning about people's lives. I'm a good listener and enjoy talking. My wonderful Mother who was a nurse and the type of person that helped me see how lucky I was in my life. She helped me to look at people where they stood, no judgement, but take the time to see them. My Mom would introduce us to people in public that some would stare at, including me. We would say hello, we wanted to meet you. Some of the mom's would thank us saying how most people look at them funny or as if they are freaks. One man told us about how he lost his arm and why he had a hook in its place. As I grew up I always took the time to get to know people and really care. I enjoy giving of myself to people that need a little help with somethings. I like to do whatever I can to help out. I'm strong and have healing hand in the sense of warm to the touch and can give help to sore spots. I like to assist in what people need and I enjoy taking the time. I like making things look nice and I love to cook for everyone. I was able to take care of my Mom before she died. My husband and I moved in with my mom and dad for the last 2 years. I felt it was a privilege to care for my parents who gave me so much love. I know my mom was very grateful for the help, but what made me feel good was that she knew I honestly felt it a privilege to care for her.

As a caregiver I strive to provide a friendly knowledgeable approach to home health. The respect and reliability I give my clients allows for a smooth relationship as we both work to maintain independence and companionship

I have always enjoyed caring for people. It is the biggest reason I became a nurse. I have been working and continue to work in an acute care setting where I have gained alot of experience and expanded my skills with high acuity patients. On my unit we can take any adult patient but the majority of the patients we receive are geriatric. I really enjoy taking care of the elderly population. I am very easy going and understanding . I think I bring a calming presence to most patients especially in times they feel most vulnerable.

For many years I was a nanny, and as much as I loved it, I would love to explore being a caregiver. Although I do not have experience as a caregiver, I do have several personality treats that I believe would make me very successful. I'm a bubbly, outgoing woman who has a passion for helping others. I am super organized, and oddly enjoy cleaning. Even though I can be upbeat, I love relaxing as well. Whether it's curling up with a good book, watching a movie, putting together a puzzle, or playing board games, they're all things I really enjoy doing. I'm also a huge sports fan! I have been a caregiver for a total of 7 years. I became a CNA when I was 18 but took a break from it at age 23, while I attended college. I earned a degree in Health Information Technology and worked in Elkhart General Hospital's Medical Records Department for two years. I liked the job but it wasn't as fulfilling for me as caregiving. I happened to meet a woman who did private home care and needed another aide working with her. I took the job and have been happily providing care for the elderly since.

I take pride in being a caregiver. I'm a very compassionate and empathetic person. I was a CNA for many years but because of the facility atmosphere I chose not to continue my CNA. I think being a caregiver is a challenging and super rewarding career choice.

I became a caregiver at the age of 21, when I first took the position it was a job within the first hour it became a passion. My family and I soon made the move to Florida, I eventually de-solved my health care company in Michigan as being so far away it was difficult to manage.. I love my seniors! I have over 20 years of experience. I began with my own grandmother at the age of 19 and knew this is what I need to do. I took care of my father with terminal brain cancer that was my hardest situation. I've been help caring for someone since I was young girl, I use to help take care my grandpa with my mom and grandma.
